When you’re the defending NBA Champions, you have all the weight on your shoulders. Despite enjoying the perks of living lavishly as a champion, they have some serious work to do this summer. With a tough Western Conference continuously growing with talent and super-teams, the Warriors will have no easy walk in the park this upcoming season.

Stephen Curry was the first player in NBA history to defeat all of his conglomerates for All-NBA 1st team (Anthony Davis, Marc Gasol, James Harden, and LeBron James) on his way to winning the Finals. The Warriors also got rid of David Lee in exchange for Gerald Wallace, which will give them more money too spend the following summer. They also re-signed the team’s biggest x-factor Draymond Green along with veteran-shabby guard Leandro Barbosa. Green fell just short of winning Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player, as he was runner-up for both. Green is one of the most underrated players in the league who is capable of doing just about everything on the basketball court.

In the NBA Finals clinching game, Draymond Green joined some elite company by being only the sixth player to record a triple-double (Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, James Worthy, Tim Duncan, and LeBron James). And with arguably the greatest shooter in NBA History, MVP Stephen Curry, the team’s future is in good hands. Also, at only 25 years old, Klay Thompson has the opportunity to grow along-side Curry with the assistance of their former sharp-shooting head coach Steve Kerr. An additional key-signing of a veteran player might have helped them for next year, but if everyone remains healthy again, you can except a deep-run for the Warriors once again and possibly back-to-back NBA Championships.
