Canadian rapper, Drake, has done it again with his second year being the top artist to receive the most nominations for the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards.

BET announced the nominations for the awards show to The Associated Press saying, “Drake is set to receive 12 nominations for its 10th year.” Drake’s dedication to solicit hit song after hit song has allowed him the chance to be selected for the two top prizes, Album of the year and MVP of the year. His latest album “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late,” established the rapper with 14 songs simultaneously on Billboards Hot 100 singles charts, and distinguished itself as the first platinum-selling album of this year.

Other big name artist to top the nomination lists are: Big Sean, who earned 10, Nicki Minaj with nine nominations. Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole each got eight nominations. Kanye West, Timbaland and Fetty Wap were also nominated.

BET teams up with Snoop Dogg, Hip-Hop’s veteran, to host the show for the third straight year. Tapping will occur on Oct. 9 at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta, GA.
