Pictures are a key component of cell phone use. Taking selfies and other random things have become a habit as well for many individuals. In particular, the quality of the camera has always been a concern of iPhone users. While phones like the Galaxy offers more clearer and brighter photos, the iPhone continues to be one step behind in that area. Luckily, all of this is about to change with the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, which is due in stores on September 25th.

Here’s what you can expect with the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus:

  • 12 megapixels, instead of 8 megapixels
  • Sharper photo quality on the front and back cameras
  • Less color distortion
  • Video record in Ultra HD (also known as 4K); 4K display will allow users to zoom in during playback
  • iPhone 6S Plus comes with anti-shake technology for videos
  • Front camera upgraded to 5 megapixels, from 1.2 megapixels
  • Front screen includes a flash function, which will allow users take brighter selfies in low-light settings.
