The estate of Jimi Hendrix claims that an acoustic guitar was stolen and sold. Now, they are suing the guy that purchased the guitar and demanding that he return it ASAP.

According to reports, Experience Hendrix LLC filed a complaint in an Pima County, Arizona court that Harvey Moltz is not the rightful owner of  the guitar. The estate claims that Moltz purchased the guitar after it had been stolen by the ex-husband of Janie Hendrix, Jimi’s adopted sister. They insists that Sheldon Reynolds, the ex-husband, stole it at some point. Reynolds is former member of 70’s group, Earth, Wind, and Fire.

“The guitar is priceless to our family. It is one of the few guitars that came home after Jimi passed away. We just want our guitar returned safely and back where it belongs,” stated Janie Hendrix, CEO of Experience Hendrix.

An attorney representing Moltz says that his client purchased the guitar without any knowledge of who outright owned the guitar.

The guitar is said to be worth between $750,000 and $1 million.
