Drew Brees had a career day when he led the New Orleans Saints to a 52-49 victory over the New York Giants. Brees completed 39 out of 50 passes for 505 yards, 7 touchdowns and 2 interceptions with a 131.7 quarterback rating. Brees threw a career-high 7 touchdowns and also tied a NFL record for most touchdowns in a game. Saints Tight End Benjamin Watson led the way with 9 catches for 147 yards and 1 touchdown.

Saints Wide Receiver Marques Colston had 8 catches for 114 yards and 1 touchdown. The Saints had two other receivers that had two touchdowns each. Brees has thrown for 2,376 yards, 15 touchdowns and 6 interceptions with 100.8 quarterback rating this season. The Saints are now 4-4 and have won three games in a row. Brees has thrown for 255 yards twice in a game this season and the other five games were over 300 yards. Brees is known for passing for 300 yards or more and this recent game should put the rest of the teams on alert that he is probably going to destroy their defenses.
