In an exclusive interview with Blac Youngsta, CMG label’s newest signee, it was clear that a new breed of artists were emerging from the South. Over the past decade, the street/trap style of rap made artists drop the party music for more hardcore records. When fans visit clubs or go to concerts, rappers became too “cool” or too “hard”. Thankfully, Blac Youngsta says he’s bringing the fun back into the street life.

During our one-on-one, the 25-year-old South Memphis rapper peeled down a few layers to expose a deeper side though, which is rare when it comes to rappers. He talked about his start in music and why the death of his younger brother motivated him. It’s been 10 years since his brother’s death, but along with friends that are no longer here, Blac Youngsta is staying focused. With mentor’s like Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta is learning how to plan for longevity in his career and wealth. His only goal right now is to make sure his kids are rich.

His most recent project I Swear to God has been buzzing in the streets. The single “Heavy” is a hard-hitting track that features Yo Gotti. It’s safe to say that “Heavy” has expanded Blac Youngsta’s brand, but there’s much more substance in his music. The 17-track project gives listeners a variety of emotions with very personal tracks like “Away From Me” and “I Remember”. But, Blac Youngsta reveals which tracks are getting the most love from the fans.

More information about Blac Youngsta is revealed in this 4-part interview. What viewers will learn is that he’s struggled and now he’s ready for a different life. One that’s fun and a money maker.
