I’m sure all doctors took a code of conduct to protect their clients at all cost, which is probably why Yem Chrin felt exempt.

Chrin was arrested in December 2014 for spreading HIV to more than 100 village people in Roka Village. Chrin had been in protective custody since being taken in due to authorities fearing that he may be lynched by residents that lived in the community. Reports state that 106 of 800 of the village people that tested for the virus were indeed infected with the HIV virus.

Chrin was found guilty after evidence of him a) not being a licensed medical practitioner and b) reusing the same unsanitized syringes on all his patients. The age ranges of the people affected by Chrin “cruel behavior” are 3 to 82 and 10 of which have since died. He has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and has to pay damages and fines to the state to the victims.
