As the city of Flint, Michigan fight off their major water crists, many celebrities are stepping up to bring awareness to the situation.

Sean “Diddy” Combs posted several meme’s yesterday that expressed his worries about the crisis. The entertainment mogul urged his Instagram followers and industry friends to wake up and see what’s really going on in Flint. Diddy’s sentiments were the same as many others who are very concerned about the treatment of Blacks and those who have been disturbingly affected.

For several years now, Flint’s citizens (mainly children) has experienced health concerns (and deaths) due to lead-contaminated water flowing into the city’s pipelines. In an effort to cut back budget costs, the city chose to draw water from the Flint River. Unfortunately, this move was unsafe and a great proportion of children began to get extremely high level of lead in their blood. In October 2015, the city decided to reconnect with Detriot’s water system. However, a great deal of damage has been done and, at this point, health officials say that the water is safe for bathing but not drinking.   This outbreak also caught the attention of rapper Meek Mill. He dontaed $50,000 to the city of Flint in effort to help the water crisis. Diddy also plans to donate his brand of water, AquaHydrate, to help the citizens as well.
