Instagram is undergoing some changes. Its over 400 million users could soon see an update to their timeline. The social media network is considering pushing up top those posts users are most likely to pay attention to.

This update is similar to Facebook’s timeline in that it is formulated to show users posts that are most relevant. Meaning, relevancy in terms of who the user often communicate with or the kind of posts users tend to respond to.

The need for this change, Instagram says, is because users are bombarded with photos and videos they don’t care to see. This is making the posts they want to see fall way down in the lineup on their timeline. And with the large number of users using the app, it makes it difficult to scroll upon social media content an user most enjoy.

Instagram will gradually roll out the update. No word on when the change will effect ALL users.
