Tisha Campbell-Martin and husband Duane Martin’s business hit the ‘net regarding their financial health. According to the Daily Mail, the couple filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in order to re-organize their $15 million in accumulated debt. The Martin’s debt is a culmination of unpaid taxes, loans, car leases, credit balances, and such. Reports also allege that the couple has only a couple hundred dollars to their name.

Tisha disputed these claims via her Twitter account yesterday. She says that they are not broke and are adjusting their financial layout. The tweets has since been deleted from her account. But, here’s what she said:

“Hey?! Anybody got nickel? lol

“Yeah guys it’s not like what’s being reported at ALL but it’s funny tho. Quick statement, “Yall seen the movie “The Big Short?” …”

“Yup we DID file but it’s bcuz my hubby and I invested in real estate , got involve with some loans b4 the BANKS caused the markets to crash…”

“Obviously couldn’t agree 2 a settlement w the banks, so we filed to reorganize, that’s all, but  I so appreciate the genuine concern 4 my fam.

“I got he best supporters ever thanks TWITTERFAM

“We got involved with some loans before the crash, couldn’t agree to a settlement with the banks, so we filed to reorganize.”

There is a bit of confusion on why the Martin’s chose to file Chapter 7 if they are “re-organizing.” Nevertheless, the courts and the creditors will be keeping a close eye out on the Martin’s now since this has been public.
