Shopping can be one expensive hobby in life, so here are 5 tips to make your shopping experience even better for both you and your wallet!

1.     Use an coupon app to save money!–  RetailMeNot, Shopular, and Flipp are all FREE coupon apps that offer coupons for both online and in-store purchasing for stores like PacSun, American Eagle, Macy’s and many more. Just show your on-screen coupon to the person at check-out and BOOM! Money saved.

2.     Pay attention to the screen during checkout! – Yes, even computers make  mistakes, so put the phone down and pay attention to the screen to be sure all prices are coming up correctly and all discounted or sales items are being priced correctly as well!

3.     Ask about price matching! – See the same graphic tee for 5 dollars cheaper at a different store? Take a picture of the shirt and tag, and ask the store you are buying the item from for a price match! Many stores are matching competitor’s prices to keep the customer happy, and loyal to their store.

4.     Try samples first! – Just HAVE to have that new $50.00 foundation, but not positive you will like it. If it will dry out your skin, or if you even like the coverage? ASK FOR A SAMPLE! Sephora stores will give you samples of their products to try out before you buy it.

5.     Ask for a discount on faulty items! –  Browsing around your favorite store and see a dress that you adore with a zipper that doesn’t work? Ask the cashier for money off the item. Discounts are often awarded to customers who are attempting to purchase an item with a broke zipper, missing button, make up or deodorant stain.

Good luck at the stores with these shopping tips!
