Birdman sat down with Ebro and Laura, of Hot 97, to set the record straight about the incident that occurred at The Breakfast Club.

Since his infamous two-minute interview, Birdman’s persona and verbiage has turned into funny  memes and “Put Some Respek On My Name” t-shirts. But, he clearly doesn’t give two f*cks about. He’s all about making money. The Cash Money CEO talked to Hot 97  in an exclusive interview at his $30 million Miami mansion.

During the interview, he elaborates on why he spazzed out on Charlamagne and also diffuses the gay rumors. Interestingly, Birdman embraced the idea of there being more CEOs in hip-hop. His statement was very true in that there are many label owners that are artists themselves. These double titles causes conflict and doesn’t help the culture sustain its power in music.

“I can’t stress it enough. When I come up in the game, we had the Ruff Ryders. We had the Jermaine Dupri’s. We had the Dame Dash’s. We had the Jay Z’s. We had the Master P’s. We had the Diddy’s. We had the Suge Knight’s. We had all these guys that was CEO’s putting on artists. We don’t have none of that sh*t no mo’. We don’t have no Stunna Man’s. I mean, you got, Ross doing his thing with his label. But, you ain’t got nobody really…”

“You might have a ni**a a CEO, but he the f*ckin’ rapper. Man, sit yo a** down and go get a ni**a who can rap and we can keep exploiting this sh*t…keep making it grow. You understand me. I don’t think that we are growing. Besides us, what the f*ck do we have.”

Birdman reveals that he’s working on his own biopic. He has several projects coming out this summer, Ms. Gladys and Rich Gang albums. Birdman currently has a single out, “Respek.”  Take a listen below:
