This is an Epic contractual issue. So why is Future all upset? It’s just business, not personal. Yesterday, news broke that rapper/producer Rodney Hill Jr. aka Rocko was suing rapper Future for $10 million. The lawsuit is for a breach of Future’s 2011 contract with A1 Recordings. Future’s obligation of six albums was forfeited under, apparently, shady pretenses. The lawsuit claims that Rocko struck a distribution deal with Epic Records to distribute the planned six albums. However, at some point, Future finessed the system and cut a side deal with Epic…totally cutting Rocko out the picture. Under the A1 deal, Rocko was to receive a 25 percent commission on advance money and 20 percent of Future’s tours and endorsements. Anyway, Future feels some type of way about the ordeal and took his frustrations to Twitter. And, here’s what Rocko had to say… Hopefully, these two can settle this in the courtroom and not on the streets.
