As a synonymous chant of “no justice, no peace” filled the affluent streets of Buckhead, Atlanta protestors kept the momentum going on the 5th night of protesting following the recent death of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

Monday night, hundreds gathered and walked the streets of Buckhead and planted their protest right across from Governor Nathan Deals’ mansion located in the Tuxedo Park neighborhood.

According to several social media posts, protestors cautioned officials they would be there all night until seen by Mayor Kasim Reed and Chief Police Officer Nathan Turner.

Amid the protest, several protestors took to Twitter and informed social media users that police were making arrests and blocked off intersections to keep others from coming in.

Around midnight, Mayor Kasim Reed and Police Chief Turner arrived to the protest and briefly met with the protestors but have agreed to meet with protest leaders next week.
