As Sephora, Ulta, and fashion department stores like Macy’s continue to soar in cosmetic sales, other companies are looking at ways to expand their beauty business.

The home-shopping network QVC is, for instance, creating a new channel specifically dedicated to beauty products. For the last 10 years, QVC’s revenue in beauty products has become one of their fastest-growing businesses. Therefore, QVC will launch a separate channel called Beauty iQ. The channel will carry skincare products, fragrances, cosmetics, and any other beauty accessories one could imagine.

Mike George, the chief executive of QVC, said that the company made the decision to expand the beauty business to a broader range of age groups. George says that is crucial for QVC to reach a younger audience.

Beauty iQ will go live in November on DirecTV, Dish, and Comcast. The channel will air live programming five nights a week and feature pre-recorded beauty-related content.
