The radio personality that many hate to love, Charlamagne tha God, is in the process of writing a book. The book is titled “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” and is scheduled to be released in spring of 2017.

The Breakfast Club co-host linked a deal with Touchstone, which is a subsidiary of Simon & Schuster, and plans to give a honest-yet-motivational look at his journey and media rise to fame.

Growing up in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Charlamagne’s mother was an English teacher and helped fuel his love for reading books. Now, he’s finally fulfilling one of his dreams of becoming an author.

Black Privilege is for individuals who dream of living their best life. Charlamagne told HipHopDX

“This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have to understand you lack nothing God gave you everything you need to succeed.”

When he’s not giving out “Donkey of the Day” or interviewing celebrities, Charlamagne tha God can also be seen on MTV and heard on his popular podcast, The Brilliant Idiots.

Kudos to Charlamagne!
