Dave Chappelle made a stir on Saturday night while hosting – for the first time- NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” His artistic ability and political emotions made a prominent appearance even from the start of his opening monologue. Chappelle took the moment to share his feelings on the election and why he wasn’t surprised that Trump won.

During his monologue, Chappelle talked about a White House party he’d attended with all black people. He said the sight gave him hope and went on to wish Trump a good term. “I’m wishing Donald Trump luck, and I’m gonna give him a chance. And we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too.”

Chappelle’s candid sense of humor carried on throughout the show.

The funniest skit was “The Walking Dead” in which characters from “Chappelle’s Show” made an appearance.  Chappelle played Negan and contemplated on which character he’d kill off first. Crack addict Tyrone Biggums ended up being decapitated, but not without one last political message to share:

“Even though our country seems irrevocably severed, like a man from his head, let my example prove that we should continue to move forward. Let us see ourselves in one another, for only empathy can conquer hate. I am every man. I am every woman. It’s all in me. anything you want done baby, I do it naturally.”

LOL!
