Kanye West has had one hell of a month thus far. The multiple, insidious rants about Trump, Jay Z and others, which were followed up with abrupt concert departures. Plus, his wife’s Kim Kardashian’s Paris theft. Now, Kanye has cancelled all of his remaining Saint Pablo Tour dates and is under mental evaluation. WTH!

The most concerned, however, are Kanye’s fans who are now scrambling to get a refund on their concert tickets. The financial impact of cancelling the remaining 22 dates is said to be worth an estimated $30 million. According to Billboard Boxscore, Kanye had grossed $34.5 million on the tour so far. The question now is will Kanye have to fork over the $30 million to Live Nation.

There are tour insurances put in place typically if an artist has an injury or an uncontrollable circumstance (such as bad weather conditions), which makes it impossible for the concert date(s) to continue. In those cases, the insurance would pay for any losses in revenue, marketing costs, etc.

It is unknown if Kanye’s sudden health condition will be used to justify an insurance claim.

Kanye added 20 dates to the original tour plan. The last tour stop was scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in New York on December 31.
