A life story about Nas? Hmmm…sounds interesting.

BET is on a roll after the huge success their three-part series about R&B boy group New Edition. Well, it seems that the network is moving into the world of hip-hop and will create a TV series about Nas.

According to Deadline, BET is developing a hour-long TV show called “Street Dreams”.  The series is named after Nas’ 1996 hit single and will be based on his life growing up in Queens, NY to stardom as one of hip-hop’s most influential emcees.

Nas will serve as an executive producer. Jonathan Levine is the show’s creator. He also created “Rush” and an off-shoot 90’s rap indie film called The Wackness.
