Forbes 2017 Hip Hop Cash Princes list is out today and it’s a good look for our new generation of artists.

The Hip Hop Cash Princes Class of 2017 includes Young M.A., Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi Vert (22). Too $hort, Kendrick Lamar’s manager Dave Free, Little Simz and Forbe’s writers Natalie Robehmed and Zack O’Malley came together to decide which artists made the list.

 

Desiigner, born Sidney Selby III, made a splash with his chart-topping hit “Panda.” The song hit triple platinum status and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance., Lil Yachty and D.R.A.M. also made the list due to their commercial success with “Brocolli,” which garnered them both Grammy nominations this year. D.R.A.M.’s gained huge success in 2015, as well, with his hit “Cha Cha.”

Outside of music, Yachty is making waves with big brands. The Atlanta rapper was recently seen in commercials for Sprite and Target.

Multi-platinum and Grammy award winning singer Adele praises a U.K. rapper who made the list. Stormzy, 23, has made a huge in the U.K. by selling out three tours. He also has a forthcoming album coming out caled Gang Sings & Prayer.

“Stormzy gets and understands the bigger picture and isn’t afraid to broaden his horizons,” Little Simz says of her fellow Brit. “He is an inspiration to many and there are no limitations on how far he will take it, because he’s doing this on his own terms.”
