Beyonce is getting the girls in Formation when it comes to education.

For the 2017-2018 academic school year, Beyonce has announced giving out “Formation Scholars” awards in celebration of Lemonade’s one-year anniversary.  The Houston-native will grant four scholarships to young women who are “unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.” The four young women selected to receive the Formation Scholars award must be studying music, creative artst, literature or African-American studies. Schools participating in scholarship contest are Howard University, Berklee College of Music, Spelman College, and Parsons School of Design.

 

Scholars interested in applying for the award must be a current, incoming, or graduate student at any of the four participating institutions. Students can get all the details and application directly from the school. Reportedly, Spelman students are required to submit a 300-word essay and proof of their work. The winning student will be awarded $25,000.
