NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly signed a 5-year, $25 million shoe deal with Nike. It is considered the richest shoe deal in NFL history.

As reported by Ian Rapoport, of the NFL Network, Beckham allegedly has 10 days to step up out of the deal. The New York Giants Pro Bowler had an offer to join adidas as well.  However, Nike upped the ante by matching adidas’ offer, states Nick DePaula of Nice Kicks.

Other outlets are reporting that Nike’s deal come with additional incentives that could stretch Beckham’s deal to eight years, $48 million.

Beckham’s deal will not require a signature cleat. Instead, the 29-year-old requests that he be apart of Nike’s global marketing strategies and their next “brand icon.”
