A company is suing rapper Rick Ross for ditching a contracted performance in Washington, PA. However, the MMG founder is refuting the claims and says that they’re exaggerating a bit.

TMZ reports that Washington County Family Entertainment hired Rick Ross for an outdoor concert at Wild Things Park. They claim that Ross canceled on them just two days before the scheduled performance date and kept $87,500 of their money.

In their lawsuit, WCFE insists that in his contract it specifies that Ross “cannot cancel once the contract is executed and tickets are on sale.” Ross canceled last minute due to family and health concerns. WCFE says that they paid Ross $150,000 as a deposit. Ross has since returned $62,500 back to WCFE.

Ross’s team says that their claims are false and that he even offered to reschedule to perform on August 12.

The rappers booking agent says that WCFE only paid $40,000 and that Ross’s contracts always stipulate the option to reschedule if an illness occurs.

Interesting….

With Ross’s history of medical issues, it sounds absurd for him not to require a “rescheduling” option in his contracts. The money aspect, on the other hand, could possibly be true. But, the judge would have to decide that.
