Since MTV’s Sweet 16, there’s always been something about Teyana Taylor. The New York-native has been giving it to us for a while now through music, videos, choreography, and such. However, it’s fashion she’s proving herself in now, especially on the runway.

This weekend, Teyana Taylor slayed New York Fashion Week giving us life at several collection shows. The singer-dancer-mother killed it on the catwalk, first for Italian streetwear brand GCDS,  and she expressed her graciousness via an Instagram post.

“When they let ah Harlem girl storm thru fashion week!!! GCDS 😩😩😩 omg today was sooooo dope thank you @giulianocalza ❤️ @GCDSWEAR@thesocietynyc ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️ hair: @arrogant_tae123 makeup:@japanesefaces”

Then at Phillip Plein’s Spring 2018 show…

Teyana Taylor shined on the runway and took it up a notch with Future performing live. The doll strutted it in black, lace bikini number that fit her petite size perfectly. But, the gag was her runway dance performance that included a few odes to the ballroom vogueing community, which made appreciating her talents that much greater.

She later posted a clip of her runway takeover on Instagram and quoted one of our favs, the iconic NY Ballroom commentator MC Debra. lol

“When the haters tried to say I was too extra yesterday…..🤔 I turned around and CLOSED ANOTHER RUNWAY SHOW even more EXTRA!! & ima do it AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN cause these b!tches can’t take!!! Mc Debra voice 💅🏾💪🏾😩😩😂😂😂😂💼💼💼💼💼 #philippplein #FashionWeek #NYFW#HarlemGirl thank you @philipppleininternational u da shit!!! and @future you killed the live music bro!!! 📹: @imanshumpert”

Teyana Taylor’s spotlight is shining real hard these days. It’s awesome that the fashion community recognizes her talent and it’s exciting to see what future runways she’ll kill too.
