The life of famed graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat  is coming to a theater near you in 2018.

Boom for Real: The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat follows the artist’s life before the fame and the impact of New York City had on his artistry. The film will includes exclusive works, writings and photographs, and other first-hand accounts from Nan Goldin, Jim Jarmusch, James Nares, Fred Brathwaite aka Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quinones, Luc Sante and more, according to Deadline.

Jean-Michel Basquiat was born in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1960. Starting out as a street artist, Basquiat started selling drawings for just $50. The American artist passed away from a heroin overdose in 1988. He was 27-years old.

The Sara Driver documentary debuted at the Toronto Film Festival.
