I, Abner, had the pleasure of interviewing my fellow University of Central Florida (UCF) alumni Tony Khuu, one of the owners of VAIN Nightclub in Orlando, FL. In 2013, Nightclub.com ranked Vain as one of the Top 100 nightclubs in the US, the first time any club in Orlando has made the list.
Tony started Powerhouse Events Marketing & Promotions (Powerhouse E.M.P.) with Johnathan “Kocky” Hamilton in 2005 to help put their own stamp in the nightlife industry. With the success of Powerhouse, Tony and Johnathan also started Khuu Hamilton Enterprises Entertainment & Promotions (K.H.E.E.P.). How long have you been in the business and were you a Business major at University of Central Florida?
Tony: I have been in the promotions and marketing business since 2002. On the ownership side, I am in my third year. I went to UCF for Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
How did it feel to see Vain Night Club make the 2013 Top 100 Clubs in the United States?
Tony: It felt great, especially being that we are the first club North of South Florida to make the list. It’s a blessing to see the growth of Vain Nightclub over the years from the first day it opened.
What do you feel separates your club from others?
Tony: Orlando is a melting pop, and VAIN NIGHT CLUB is ORLANDO! Every night is a different experience that appeals to all walks of life. VAIN alone is a melting pot. It’s diverse and caters to everyone of all nationalities. Tuesday is Latin, Wednesday is Urban Hip Hop, Thursday is College Mainstream Hip Hop, Friday is EDM and House Music, and Saturday is Open Format Top 40.
What are the pros and cons of being a owner?
Tony: Being in the industry there is a lot of good and bad. Being an owner you are put under a microscope from everyone. For example, when you become successful or get into a new situation in life people will assume that you have changed and want to categorize you as “Hollywood”. Why would anyone want to do the same things that they did in college? Why would you as a professional want to run in circles and do the same things over and over again, that is INSANE! It is natural that with success you may do things differently, and move a certain way, which is not necessarily bad thing, because you are GROWING as a person.
What the public fails to realize is that, the way the people around view you in your new position and that perception has changed! My partners and I have pretty much the same circle of friends since college. Instead of drinking every night, we like to stay sober so we can wake up because we have 100+ employees that relay on the place to be packed and to be ran properly. It’s good when its good, and its bad when its bad. I love what I do. I’m passionate about it and we feel we are built for it, and just have to take it all within stride. In life you just have to find balance in all you do. Balance work and your personal life, too much of ANYTHING is NEVER good for you.
Why is it difficult for most clubs to stay open after 4 or 5 years?
Tony: It’s difficult because most club nights (and clubs in general) last about 3-5 years assuming everything stays the same. Eventually, the public will get bored and will look for something new. That is natural. There is an advantage in being in small markets because not many new venues pop up like places like Vegas and Miami; not until recently here in Orlando at least. There was a run before the last 2-3 years ,there were no new venues. As owners and promoters get older, their lives evolve so sometimes they may not be in touch with what the trends are and what is hip.
What’s the most important aspect of the nightclub experience?
Tony: The customers…making sure they are having a good time and are pleased. When that is accomplished, you will get repeat business. There is a reason it is called hospitality.
How can readers keep up with you and Vain Night Club through websites (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) ?
The WWE Network will launch today, at 9 a.m. EST, and WWE will be offering a free trial for the first week. It will become the first ever streaming network and featuring all WWE live pay-per-events. Fans will pay $9.99 a month and required to have a six-month commitment. There will be live (pre and post) shows during pay-per-views and also for Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. WWE Network will have original programming shows and a huge library of every pay-per-view from WWE, ECW and WCW.
WWE Network will also be available through the WWE app on Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy; iOS devices such as: Apple iPad and iPhone; Amazon’s Kindle Fire devices; Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360; Roku 2 and Roku 3 streaming devices.
Most pay-per-views are usually around $50.00, so the six-month agreement is definitely worth the price. WrestleMania XXX will be the first pay-per-view aired on the WWE Network on April 6, 2014. Vince McMahon has found another way to bring in more WWE fans, make more money in the process, and make it more affordable for the WWE Universe.
50 Cent has verbally made it known on MANY occasions that he was fed up with Interscope and was ready to leave. Well, he’s finally got his wish.
Last week, he announced that him and his label, G-Unit, were no longer on Interscope’s roster. In fact, he has inked a lucrative indie deal with Capitol’s independent services division, Caroline. The new deal will give 50 Cent worldwide distribution and services rights.
This move, however, didn’t damper the relationship he has with Eminem and Dr. Dre. He spoke about them in high regards during a recent press conference.
“I have had great success to date with Shady/Aftermath/Interscope and I’d like to thank Eminem and Dr. Dre for giving me an incredible opportunity. I’ve learned so much from them through the years. I am excited to enter this new era where I can carry out my creative vision,” 50 Cent says via press release.
Eminem even shared his appreciation for 50 Cent and what his career has meant for Shady Records. 50 was signed to Shady/Aftermath/Interscope.
“Both myself and Shady Records are grateful to have had the chance to play a part in 50′s career. Shady simply would not be what it is without 50 Cent. I’ve developed a great friendship with 50 over the years, and that’s not going to change. We know 50 will have success in his new situation, and we remain supporters of both him and G-Unit.”
Under this new agreement, 50 Cent will debut his new album “Animal Ambition” on June 3. Fans will be able to receive two new songs from the project instantly when they pre-order the album. Starting March 18, 50 Cent will release a new song and video each week leading up to its release.
Solange Knowles is her own woman. Not to be defined by society, man or belief, her creativity and individualism has always intrigued us. Over the years, she’s enhanced her style and brand to become one of industry’s most self-assured artist. This is why you can’t hate on her even if you tried.
Now, she’s taking on another fashion challenge.
In 2013, she partnered up with Puma to become the Art Director and Creative Consultant for the brand. What, we assume, is her first complete project is a new line of sneakers. The “Girls of Blaze”, as it is called, is a collection of fun, bright-colored, and abstractly-designed shoes perfect for the upcoming spring/summer seasons. In a behind-the-scenes video, Solange explains how the gender lines are crossed when it pertains to sneakers and the sex appeal of wearing them.
I think women have really focused on the idea that sexiness and femininity is a state of mind, really projecting confidence throughout the voice of saying when I feel good, I look good. That can be interpreted in so many ways…but certainly a level of comfort can exist. You will never have more fun at the club when you are wearing sneakers really dancing your ass off! I’ve also noticed the gender lines have crossed so much when it comes to sneakers as well. Women are wearing men’s sneakers, and I can’t tell you how many men have asked me if the Discs from my collection will come in larger sizes so they can rock them as well!

Word on the street is that businessman and NBA Hall of Fame inductee, Magic Johnson, is not part owner of the Lost Angeles Sparks (WNBA).
“We’re totally thrilled,” WNBA President Laurel Richie told The AP. “When Magic chooses to enter into a partnership with a WNBA team, that’s a great thing. He’s a legend within basketball. He’s very knowledgeable about the game. He’s a larger-than-life personality. He’s an extremely successful businessman. He cares about the community the way that the WNBA does.”
Johnson is part of a small group of investors who’s previously acquired the Los Angeles Dodgers. The group comprised up of Johnson, Mark Walter, and Peter Guber (who did not partake in this recent acquisition) purchased the Dodgers for $2.15 billion.
It was only recently that Walter and Johnson discussed the idea of purchasing the L.A. Sparks.
“He is looking forward to coming to games,” Richie said. “He is a fan already and now I think he’s going to have a heightened interest in this team all together. There will be lots of opportunity to see him and interact with him.”
Well well…look who’s paired up and ventured into the food industry.
Stevie J and Benzino, co-stars of the hit reality show “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”, recently opened a bistro and lounge in downtown Atlanta. The spot is called Sleazy & Zino Bistro & Bar and it features a delectable menu and chic social atmosphere. Since its opening, the bistro has hosted several events. According to their official press release, the multi-concept lounge and restaurant features themed dishes and drinks that centers around the shows’ characters.

And with Benzino’s love for cooking, what better way to take your passion to the next level. Sleazy & Zino Bistro & Bar has the potential to become a profitable investment for the two gentlemen.
But, how they got to this point of opening a restaurant together is what many are wondering. The cast of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” is currently filming for next season. So, more than likely, fans will get to see it all play out when the new season airs.

Seasons change. A new year comes, and with it, many individuals turn the page to a next chapter in their lives. This week, life-changing announcements were made by two of our favs in the music industry: DJ Drama and The-Dream.
DJ Drama is now part of the A&R staff over at Atlantic Records. Rightfully acknowledged as one of hip hop’s most accomplished DJs, he will now use his expertise to scout and development new artists. With a plethora of mixtape and album projects under his belt, DJ Drama will also oversee recording projects of various Atlantic Records artists.
“My first two albums as an artist were on Atlantic. And I’m now looking forward to working with Craig and Julie [Atlantic chairman/COO Greenwald] in a new capacity, helping them break the label’s next crop of amazing talent.” (Billboard)
The Philadelphia-native began his journey of success while in Atlanta working as T.I.’s official DJ. He went on to establish The Aphilliates Music Group and the hugely popular Gangsta Grillz mixtape series. Those two ventures easily secured his ascend into great artistry and success. Over the years, DJ Drama has worked with Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Outkast, and many others. He is currently working on his fifth album Quality Street Music 2.
The-Dream announced via Instagram that he was parting ways with Def Jam Records. After spending seven years at the label, the singer/songwriter hinted that it was time to move on.
“I will miss this logo. It all started here! Love Everything that I achieved there, EXODUS THE-DREAM #exodusthedream.”
The Atlanta-native recorded five albums while at Def Jam, which included his classic debut album LoveHate (released in 2007). He dropped IV Play in 2013 to not much fanfare. In 2012, however, he was named Vice President of A&R at Def Jam. During his stint, he produced hits for Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and many more big name artists.
Not much detail has hit the streets as to why he’s saying bye to Def Jam. But, he did write this cryptic message on his Instagram:
“Let the New Tides bring The Things not yet seen! There’s more where those came from! We have only heard what I’ve brought to shore the things that lay in the deep want lye there for much longer.”
Can’t wait to see and hear what he has planned next!
“With Ciroc, we dated. Now with DeLeon, we’re married,” stated Combs in a recent interview.
Yes, that’s right. Sean “Diddy” Combs is back at it again. His success with Diageo’s first premium vodka, Ciroc, proved that the man can market just about anything and make a huge profit. The announcement of his new partnership with Diageo puts him in a “true owner” position with the brand. With Ciroc, he only secured a joint marketing and profit-sharing agreement. But, his expertise and ingenuity with branding helped increase Ciroc’s annual sales volumes to favorable levels.
Jose Cuervo was once distributed by Diageo, but contract expired. Diddy and Diageo is hoping to make DeLeon tequila a national and worldwide brand with this partnership.
Shout out to Grand Hustle’s Trae Tha Truth is having an outstanding year. After making new srides with T.I. and his Grand Hustle camp, the Houston-born MC has been on a world wind of greatness. One of those great things he’s been able to capitalize on is his digital animated series, “Trae“.
“Trae” has been going for a couple years now. But, the cartoon series has picked up a lot of steam and viewership in the last year or so. It’s not only a fan favorite but also celeb favorite as well. Most recently, actor Omar Epps introduced the series to comedian/actor Marlon Wayans.
Marlon Wayans is the co-founder of What The Funny Studios. Epps believed that “Trae” brought the type of humor that could easily jive with the type of projects produced by WTF Studios.
“Trae Tha Truth’s animated series has the brand of humor which is a perfect fit for Marlon Wayans’ WhatTheFunny digital network. With Trae’s core demographic being die hard fans, I’m excited for him to expand his audience through WhatTheFunny’s expansive platform.”
Omar Epps is also executive producing the animated series.
As part of the deal, Trae Tha Truth and his partner Sugarman will produce ten exclusive episodes for WhatTheFunny.com. This will be WTF’s first deal with an animated series.

Beyonce sold 1 million albums worldwide in one week. No promo, no press interviews, and no hype. She clearly made a statement with the release of this surprise self-titled album, Beyonce. But, what fueled her desire to be more open on this project? What made Beyonce go against the grain? Well, the R&B superstar held a Q&A with her fans via Instagram last week. During the discussion, she revealed a lot about her thought process when creating the album. Beyonce also discussed why she decided to release the album unexpectedly.
“I’m very private and I’m very respectful, and I think it just took me no longer being someone’s child – once I became a mother, I felt like I could tear those fourth walls and I just felt like it was time,” she said. “I completely feel liberated.”
“I felt like I wanted follow in the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire,” she said to cheers from the crowd. “And (to) show other women when you get to this point in your career, you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success, you can do it yourself.”
“Honestly I was at a point where I felt like, you know, everything feels the same … that’s how I felt and if I could not challenge that, then maybe it’s time for me to do something else or develop more artists, which is something I want to do,” she said. “I just hope that I continue to move forward and challenge myself, and I think now that I’ve become a mother, I just want my legacy to inspire people.”
She added that the goal of the new album was not to produce No. 1 hits, but to showcase her evolution and create her own lane.
“I took all of my insecurities, all of my doubts, all of my fears and everything I’ve learned over the 17 years and I applied it into this project,” she said. “But more than the music – I’m proud of myself as a woman … the biggest message is owning your imperfections and all the things that make you interesting, because I refuse to allow someone to put me in anyone’s box.”

One thing we like to bring awareness to are young entrepreneurs who are setting the example. And at just 11 year old, Imani Alsobrook is paving her own way into fashion.
Last Saturday, Imani was the youngest person to debut her couture fashion line at the Fall Into Spring Fashion Show. The show introduced the 2014 Spring Collections of four diverse fashion designers. Imani’s Peachie Pi clothing line featured garments layered in bright bold colors and animal prints. Peachie Pi, is known to cater to 4-17 year old girls, also features animal prints which give young fashionistas a more mature-but-kind friendly look.
According to the Peachie Pie website, the clothing line was owned and operated by Imani and her mother, Monica. Here’s a little background information on the two:
Imani Alsobrook is a budding fashion designer/entrepreneur who loves conceptualizing and designing apparel for girls and teens. At the young age of 11, Imani is proud to play a major role in turning an “idea” into a reality. Be on the lookout for Imani’s designs to be displayed and modeled at runway shows throughout Atlanta in 2013.
Monica Alsobrook is a proud wife, mom of three beautiful children, entrepreneur and wearer of many “hats”. However, when it comes to Peachie Pi, Monica is 100% focused on supporting Imani’s passion for fashion and design.

Okay so… most of us heard the news that ADIDAS has offered Kanye West a deal worth $10 million. This amount of money could be considered small change to Kanye. But, unlike his former deal with NIKE, ADIDAS is offering royalties that will allow West to secure his child’s future and generations after.
His strong desire to create clothing, shoes, etc has caused many people to label him as being “crazy”. Kanye’s main goal is to use his relevancy to gain the respect and opportunities from the fashion industry. After two failed attempts with NIKE and Louis Vutton, ADIDAS has heard his cry and will partner up with the rapper/producer/designer on several new projects.
ADIDAS released the following statement:
“For 2014, we welcome to the adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West. Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. For the last several weeks, West has been on a radio promo tour that has fueled a lot of emotion. His most talked about radio interview is the one with Sway (“Sway In The Morning” Show) where he allowed his frustration to cause a little rift between them. From watching the video it is clear that West had a lot on his mind and was reaching his breaking point. All he want to crack open the hardened eggshell of which is the fashion industry. Sadly, the old money that runs the major fashion houses is making it difficult for him to break-in.
Sway didn’t have the answers nor does anybody else let Kanye tell it. But, one question that has been on my mind is… why doesn’t he invest his own money into building his own factory??
Not having access to these factories, is one of Kanye’s biggest gripes. I’m sure if he doesn’t have enough money to build one on his own, there’s a great possibility that investors would come in to take up the slack. Take Richard Branson for example. He’s always stepping out there and building his own (like the Virgin Galactic Spaceflight). Branson is a billionaire, however, he’s a creative just like Kanye. His ideas go beyond the average thought process. He’s innovative and he doesn’t allow anyone to stop him from accomplishing a goal.
Kanye West has the ability to do that as well. He can open up his own factory. He can manufacture his own products. Why he doesn’t understand that…I’m not sure. Yes, he’s trying to jump into the high-fashion industry quickly. This is why others believe that he hasn’t crawled enough to be expecting opportunities to be handed to him. One day he has to realize that (although he may be at the top of the music business), he’s at the bottom of the totem pole in fashion. It will some time for him to crack open those doors. However, the best way to combat the opposition is to take matters into your own hands.
Kanye…just build your own factory!
Miami Heat star, Dwyane Wade penned his first book and now it’s being developed into a television show.
The show will be called “Three The Hard Way” and will be a comedy inspired by Wade’s best-selling book. The show is written by Ben Watkins (“Burn Notice”) and is based on the NBA superstar after he gets full custody of his kids. His wide range of close friends tag along, but soon realizes that they are assisting Wade in parenting duties.
Watkins and Wade are executive producing the show along with Mike Tollin of Mandalay Sports Media and Justin Lin, Danielle Woodrow, and Troy Craig Poon through Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment.
This will be the first project out of Wade’s ZZ Productions company.
The minute you decide that you want to become a millionaire you must reflect on the inner you. Who am I? What am I passionate about? Am I a hard worker? Am I able to go beyond what is expected of me? Questions such as these will help you begin to brainstorm and come to a conclusion of the type of person you are.
In order to become wealthy, however, it will take some additional things that may include habits, your environment, your circle of friends and constituents, vices, etc. All of these areas should be analyzed with a certain level of concern. The better you are at assessing your personal traits, the better you will be at identifying if you got what it takes to become the next Bill Gates.
For many of our richest Americans and non-Americans, there are certain characteristics that are instilled within their inner being. The people that they are is exhibited through their work. So, what are these character traits exactly? Well, the following list of five key traits are what most experts believe make up a wealthy person.
Intelligent enough to work smarter, not harder – Wealthy people understands the value of time. Therefore, instead of working themselves to the bone for just a dime, these individuals figure out ways to make their job easier. If there is a task that they can’t handle, they search for and hire someone with those expertise to do the work for them. By doing this, this frees up much needed hours in order to focus on other important tasks.

Unlike a single-family home, wealthy people spend their money on commercial properties that can appreciate, produce a cash flow, and be able to be written-off on their taxes each year. The same goes for cars. Wealthy people invest money into items that can produce revenue. Family houses, cars, clothes, designer bags, etc can not do that.

Congratulations to singer/actress, Jennifer Hudson, on her induction to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Today, she received her Hollywood star alongside many legendary entertainers. The 32-year old singer looked stunningly beautiful in a short white dress and white pumps and recently funky crop hairdo. Her husband and son were in attendance along with Raphael Saddiq and her mentor Clive Davis. Clive Davis presented Jennifer with her star and acknowledged her fast rise to fame and undeniable talent.
“I didn’t sign her to a recording contract at the very beginning,” he recalled. “But when I saw her, I saw her screen test for Dreamgirls, I knew that she was truly a unique, original artist whose career would be nothing short of spectacular so I did sign her, then…I was stunned by her acting range, she was the real deal…and that voice. I had been privileged over the years to work with two of the greatest voices of all time: Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. I never thought I’d hear another voice to compare and yet staring me in the face was a new voice that did compare. It literally sent shivers up my spine.”
In Jennifer’s acceptance speech she shed a few tears as she spoke about her mom that passed away.

The heartfelt speech showcased Jennifer’s sincerity and sense of gratitude. However, many people wonder why she was awarded a star over so many other great African-American entertainers who’s talent speaks for itself, but also has been in the game for much longer than her. For instance, the “Queen B” Beyonce has yet to receive her own personal star on the famous Walk of Fame. The Houston-born singer did receive one with her group Destiny’s Child. Also, her hubby Jay-Z hasn’t received his own star as well. Considering the two have became moguls in music and business, has won numerous awards, and are two of the richest entertainers in the business, you would think they’d have stars by now.
So what’s really going on in Hollywood?? Well, apparently, there are certain criteria an entertainer mus meet in order to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Symbols on the Stars
Each star has a different brass symbol representing the category in which the celebrity received his or her star. The symbols are:
1. Movie Camera – for contributions to the motion picture industry
2. Record – for contributions to the recording industry
3. Microphone – for contributions to the radio broadcast industry
4. Television – for contributions to the television broadcast industry
5. Theater Masks – for contributions to theater
Criteria for Getting a Star on the Walk of Fame
The criteria for getting a star on the Walk of Fame are fairly simple. For consideration, a nominee must:
1. Have a record of professional achievement within the nominated field.
2. Have worked in the entertainment industry for a minimum of five years.
3. Have made contributions to the community, typically through charitable activities.
The recipient must also agree to attend the dedication ceremony. In addition, a sponsorship fee of $25,000 must be paid. Non-human and fictional characters are also eligible for stars on the Walk of Fame. Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, Rin Tin Tin and Lassie all have stars.
Process for Getting a Star on the Walk of Fame
Nominations for getting a star on the Walk of Fame are announced in the entertainment trades. The nominations must be submitted by May 31 to the Walk of Fame Committee, which is division of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Although the deadline is May 31, applications are accepted year round.
Sponsors of the nominees must fill out a very simple nomination form listing the nominee’s qualifications for inclusion in the Walk of Fame. Chances are your very first job application was more complicated than this form, which you can download in PDF format HERE. Sponsors can also submit non-returnable samples of the nominee’s work.
The committee receives a few hundred nominations a year and out of these typically chooses a couple dozen inductees. Once the Walk of Fame Committee has selected a nominee, the celebrity must be approved by the Board of Directors for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the Los Angeles City Board of Public Works and finally the Los Angeles City Council.
The induction ceremony is presided over by honorary Hollywood mayor, Johnny Grant, and is open to the public.
HISTORICAL FACTS: The Walk of Fame began as a beautification project for the city of Hollywood in 1958. It was created by artist, Oliver Weismuller as a tribute to honor celebrities in the fields of motion pictures, television, radio, theater and music. The Walk of Fame originated with 2,500 blank stars made of pink and charcoal terrazzo. As stars were inducted into the Walk of Fame, the blank stars are removed and replaced with a star bearing the celebrities name and area of show business. The stars run down Hollywood Boulevard between Gower Street and LaBrea Avenue. They also run up Vine Street between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca Street.

Well, the controversial racial profiling incidents doesn’t seem to fade Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. He’s decided to move forward with his launch of exclusive collectors items at Barneys.
Despite the accusations made by two New Yorkers and authorities investigation against Barneys New York, Jay-Z is sticking to his end of the agreement to sale his ‘A New York Holiday’ collection at the high-end luxury store. The holiday collection will include several items and will range from approximately $30 up to $40,000. But, Hov’s prize possession will probably be the release of his first ever mens fragrance.
The ‘GOLD’ perfume will come in a white bottle with a gold cap. The scent is a mixture of white cardamom, ginger, grapefruit, blueberry, and subtle hints of bourbon vanilla, patchouli, and vetiver. GOLD will cost $30 (30 ml), $55 (50 ml), and $70 (90 ml). As do with other celebrity and well-known fragrances, hopefully, Jay-Z’s GOLD will offer holiday gift packs as well.
GOLD will make its debut in Barneys on November 20th. The fragrance will make its appearance at several other department stores on November 29th. International consumers will have to wait until 2014.
Mike Will Made-It is known for creating platinum selling beats for some of your favorite artists. Now, he has branched off into the world of film/commercial scoring with a new collaboration with Lebron James and Nike.
The Atlanta-based producer recently tried his hand at scoring a commercial. The commercial was for Miami Heat’s Lebron James’ new #StriveForGreatness campaign. The commercial is called “Training Day” and it focuses on motivating people to be dedicated and work hard for what it is they want out of life.

The opportunity to work with Lebron and the Nike team was one that Mike Will hoped to one day experience.
“This collaboration with LeBron James and Nike is all about expanding. I’ve been blessed to have so much success producing singles for other artists, and now, I’m just trying to stay creative, to start working on more diverse and different projects, like scoring commercials and movies, and executive producing albums and game or movie soundtracks. Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz album was the first project I executive produced.
“LeBron is someone that’s been supporting the music I’ve done – he saw that I’m a young cat with no boundaries to my sound. And I’m a fan of his, too. He flew me to Miami while he filmed the commercial, and while I was there I got the chance meet with him and his whole team, as well as the producers from the Nike commercial. They let me know the feel and direction they wanted and I executed. Funny thing is, I already partially had the song, ‘My Shoes,’ done, and we continued to work on it to get it to match the commercial. I reached out to John Legend got him to cut vocals, and he sent it right back. We edited the song to fit the commercial and nailed it. Everyone was excited including Lebron and now we have this Nike spot that we hope everyone enjoys. The full song, my version of ‘My Shoes,’ will be on my album, Est. NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE) today hosted investors at its world headquarters and announced its goal to deliver $36 billion in revenue by fiscal year 2017. The company also stated it expects to deliver revenues of $30 billion by fiscal year 2015, at the top end of its previously announced target range of $28-30 billion.

Long-time friends (business and personal) Jermaine Dupri and Mariah Carey has joined forces in terms of management. As announced over the weekend during the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta, J.D. made it known that he’s taking over as manager to the iconic songbird.
After being managed for years by Randy Jackson, Mariah parted ways back in May of this year. People speculated who she would choose next to lead her in her career. So, it came as somewhat of a surprise when J.D. mentioned that he was now managing her. Could this union produce many more hits for Mariah? That is the question that some critics and Mariah’s die hard stans are having trouble answering. But, if memory serves them correctly, J.D. was responsible for “Shake It Off”, “Always Be My Baby”, and “We Belong Together” which spent 14 consecutive weeks on the Hot R&B/HipHop charts and Billboard Hot 100.
It’s evident that J.D. is particularly equipped with the necessary tools to make sure the butterfly loving Diva return to controlling the charts once again. Her next album “The Art of Letting Go” will be the first project (under this new manager/artist relationship) that everyone will get to see if the two still has that magic touch or not.
Whether you believe they will or not, you can’t help but to respect the union. The two have been friends for a very long time. Considering J.D.’s alleged financial woes, Mariah did what only a true friend would do. She brought him on so that he could have another income stream coming in. That’s what real friends do.

Want To Go To Space? Virgin Galactic’s Richard Branson & NBC Team Up for ‘Space Race’ Competition Show
Billionaire owner of Virgin Airlines, Richard Branson, is ready to take his Virgin Galactic spacecraft to the moon. But, he’s willing to fly one person for free when the first flight take place. However, there is one kick. That lucky person must become the winner on a new competition show titles “Space Race”.
Branson and television producer, Mark Burnett have partnered up to develop the competition show for NBC. The first flight to space is rumored to occur sometime in 2014. The space craft has been going through rigorous testing at a Virgin Galactic facility.
Virgin has been testing its rocket-powered space vehicle this year, with pilots reaching a height of 69,000 feet on a Sept. 5 flight that landed in the Mojave Desert near Virgin Galactic’s facility there. Virgin has said the goal is to begin commercial flights next year, with Branson and his family taking the first ride.
The first flight into space is almost booked up. Branson has already received seat reservations from 640 people totaling $80 million. Wow! So, if you are eager to take that trip into space, make sure you have no less than $125,000 to spend.
No word yet on when “Space Race” will air on NBC. If we hear of any auditions dates or when its scheduled to premiere, we will let you.
Basketball Wives star, Tami Roman is ready to help a nation of women learn how to keep a man.
Yes, Tami is dishing out advice on dating and what things to do in order to keep your man happy. The new book titled ‘Mistress 101′ is one of several projects Tami is currently working. She recently discussed the book during a radio interview with Chicago’s WGCI 107.5.
“I have a book coming. It’s called “Mistress 101″ and it’s about women and their relationships and how they can keep them and what they should do and what they should be working on. I’ve talked to mistresses. I’ve been through a relationship and I thought I was the perfect mate, but clearly there were some things within me….”
It will be interesting to read Tami’s take on women in relationships. With her direct approach and honesty, I’m sure she’s going to give it us ladies straight.
Eminem is finally venturing into the film world. Recently, he announced that his Shady Records was expanding to include a film division, Shady Films.

Britney Spears joins the list of A-list celebrity females to headline Las Vegas like Tony Braxton & Celine Dion.
“Good Morning America” reports that the pop start landed a deal to perform 48 shows for two years at Planet Hollywood. Britney will earn a reported $310,000 per show and will begin performing December 2013.
Britney has come a long way since her early days on the Mickey Mouse club with popular artists such as Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. This is a good look in my opinion especially since she just released her debut single “Work Bitch.”

In just one day, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc (the makers of Grand Theft Auto video games) stacked up over $800,000 in sales from the release of the latest GTA series 5. The series was launched on Tuesday, September 17 for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the XBox 360. GTAV launched worldwide with the exception of Brazil and Japan.
