Kid Cudi Leaves Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music Label
Kid Cudi with no love lost has decided to part ways with Kanye’s G.O.O.D Music label and make his own way.
During a recent interview Cudi made the announcement saying, “I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. [Kanye and I] were talking on the phone the other day and these are things I’ve been wanting to talk to him about me starting my own direction and he got it because you know, he’s trying to start his new path and try new things as an artist and he was just like, ‘Man, I feel you as an artist. It’s cool, whatever.’”
Cudi says the move was in an effort to further the progress of his own label, Wicked Awesome, and himself as a brand.
Now in the case that you want to assume that the Cudi and West are beefing, Cudi says that’s absolutely not the case. “This is just from a business standpoint. There’s no beef. There’s no problems with anybody on the label. It’s all love.”
It’ll be interesting to see the strides Cudi makes on his own but I’m sure we’ll see him still collaborating with his former label mates. Until then though, Cudi’s new album “Indicud” will be in stores on April 23rd.
MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game VIII”
MTV has released the eighth edition of their annual list of the “Hottest MCs in the Game”. The list which consists of 10 artists is determined by a panel of Hip-Hop journalists referred to as “The Brain Trust”.
In order to be a candidate, an artist has to have released music within that year. Artists are chosen based on criteria that include lyrical execution, commercial success and social networking metrics.
This year’s list was topped by Kendrick Lamar and rounded out by MMG’s Meek Mill. Check out MTV’s full list of the “Hottest MCs in the Game VIII” and what they had to say about the chosen few.
1. Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar brings the crown to Compton as the #1 “Hottest MC in The Game.”
2. 2 Chainz
2 Chainz reinvents himself, slaying G.O.O.D. Music features and a solo LP that helps land him the #2 spot in the “Hottest MCs in the Game”.
3. Rick Ross
Rick Ross rounds out the top as the #3 “Hottest MC in the Game” with a new album and the MMG legacy.

Nas makes it to MTV’s “Hottest MC in the Game” list at #4, after a long, revered career.

Big Sean leapfrogs over his G.O.O.D. Music mentor, Kanye West, and Harlem’s A$AP Rocky to take the #6 spot on MTV News’ “Hottest MCs in the Game VIII.”
7. Kanye West
Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music protégé Big Sean battle for the #6 “Hottest MC in the Game” titles, with the mentor eventually landing at the #7 spot after heated debate.
8. A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky and Big Sean battle for the #7 “Hottest MC in the Game” spot, with the fashionable Harlem spitter landing at 8 in a final vote by MTV’s Hip-Hop Brain Trust.

SMH: Will The Sex Tape Prove Kanye West Got A Big EGO??
As I try to keep this quick and cute, there’s only one thing I’d want to learn from seeing the Kanye West “alleged” sex tape. Does he have a big “ego” or not? Ladies, and gay gents, don’t judge me! I know that is the ONLY thing you want to know too. 
Anyhoo, apparently there’s a sex tape being shopped around to several online sites of Kanye West and a Kim K look-a-like. The tape was originally sent to RadarOnline, where sources confirms that the guy in the film is indeed Kanye West. A close confidant of Wests’ claims that the highly reputable producer/rapper is in total disbelief that the tape has surfaced. Word is that Kanye is trying to pull all stunts to prevent the video from being made public.
SMH…really Kanye! Sometimes I think celebrities have no brain at all. The things they do behind close doors have the potential to be made public. We’ve seen it happen before (i.e. Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s infamous tape). So, why don’t they learn from other people’s mistakes??!! And if what they are saying is true, the tape shows Kanye talking in the camera and directing the sh*t himself. #iCant
Sex.com has put up the highest bid, at this point, of $1 million for the exclusive footage. “Kanye West is an artist, one of the world’s biggest stars, and ultimately a sex symbol which is why the curiosity of the public cannot go on,” a rep for Sex.com told AllHipHop.com. “By making a Kanye West sex-tape public, Sex.com feels that he and current girlfriend Kim Kardashian will become the first celebrity sex-tape power couple. They will be the epitome of Western tabloid culture.”

Ok. Well it sounds like tracks from Kanye West upcoming album Cruel Summer are catching a leak. The latest to hit the net is “To The World”. This track features Chicago homie R. Kelly. Slightly taking up the entire song, Kellz gives the mellow (but hard hitting) harmonies some much needed swag. The song is somewhat drab and synonomous to Kanye’s “signature” style. But, who says these two music stars can’t turn a mediocre song into a smash hit. So, put your middle fingers up!

Hold Up Ye’! Kardashian-Humphries Divorce Case Hits Brickwall
Kanye’s been dropping racks on racks on racks on his boo Kim Kardashian lately. But, one thing she has yet to receive is a ring. Just in case Kanye has plans to propose anytime soon, he may want to hold up on that for minute.
After 3 million+ viewers witnessed the worldwind romance between Kim and Kris Humphries, the unfortunate 72-day split caused a frenzy in the media. Well, the divorce settlement is in a frenzy of its on. Lawyers of both parties have been going back and forth for months with no resolution. The reason is that Humphries believes there was “no intention of proceeding with this marriage. That it was basically a contrivance for the benefit of her show and to make money,” says attorney Marshall Waller.
The bickering between the two camps has frustrated both Kim and Kris. While Kim has racked up over $200,000 in lawyer fees, Humphries and his team have slowed the process until records are provided that can prove the marriage was a fraud. Humphries team has requested reality show transcripts, depositions from her mother Kris Jenner and current boyfriend Kanye West.
Next week, Humphries and his girlfriend will undergo questioning. Until a decision is made on whether those detail records will be handed over to Humphries, Kim and Kris will not be officially divorced until 2013.

Although the song features lyrics from Pusha T, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz, label mates Teyana Taylor and Kid Cudi are spotted as well.

BET Awards 2012…Tidbits and Nominees
The nominations for the 2012 BET Awards were just announced and it’s no surprise Kanye West along with Beyonce and Jay-Z lead the pack in nominations with 18 total between the three of them. Here are a few other tidbits about the show and the full list of nominees.
Rapper Trina got her due justice with a nom this year in the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category.
Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will receive the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award.
Roc Nation has a tight hold on the Video of the Year category…of the five nominees, Beyonce and Jay-Z have two in a piece. Good Luck Usher!

$1 Rumors: Did Amber Rose Plot to Steal Money from Kanye??
In a recent chain of tweets, Amber’s former publicist announces that he plans to spill the beans on Ms. Rose.
Janero Marchand, of Marchand Media Group, was once Amber’s publicist and the person who introduced her to Kanye at a video shoot. The relationship apparently went sour, at some point, and now Marchand is planning on releasing a documentary detailing Amber’s plot to steal money from Kanye West.
Marchand claims that Amber owes him 20% of an $100,000 appearance fee for her participation in Ye’s ‘Robocop’ video. Also, after learning about her and her brothers plot, Janero says he didn’t want no parts of the thievary and eventually told Kanye. If music lovers remember, Kanye himself let it be known that he knew about the plan on his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. In his song “Blame Game”, Kanye brings up the fact that money was indeed stolen. Peep the lyrics:

Damn…isn’t this some sh”t! Well, Janero Marchand’s documentary will reveal some juicy details about Amber and Ye’s infamous breakup and much more. The documentary entitled “The Michael Jordan of Models: This Is Janero” drops February 2012.
With all the buzz surrounding Amber’s recent allegations that Kanye cheated with Kim Kardashian and her new single “FAME”, this will only keep folks talking about Amber. I’m sure the extra publicity will be well appreciated by Ms Rose.

Kanye Hits #1; Nicki Minaj Holds On To #2 Spot
According to Billboard.com, Kanye West’s highly anticipated album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy claimed the no 1 spot on the charts. MBDTF came in real close to Gold status with 497,089 copies sold. Good job Yeezy! In the midst of the epidemic that has plagued the industry for years now, the lack of female rapper representation saw a breathe of light with the sales of Pink Friday. Nicki Minaj’s debut album currently holds the no 2 spot wit 375,973 copies sold. Kudos to Nicki!

A major way to make major money is to buy or invest in businesses and then turn around and sell them. Former d-boy turned rap mogul, Jay-Z, quickly learned that lesson and has earned millions while soaring through his rap career and in business.
In a recent article, the NY Post reports that Jay-Z may be in talks to sell 50% of the 40/40 Club to the owners of the Palazzo and the Venetian. The owners, The Las Vegas Sands Corp., will be expected to pay Jay-Z…$44 million! The sale will make the 40/40 club the largest sports booking operation ever in Vegas. Last week, media outlets reported that Kanye West is set to open up his first Fat Burger in Chicago, Illinois. The restaurant, scheduled to open in September, will be located at 15110 S. La Grange Road. It will be 2,353-square-foot and seat 74 people.
Kanye owns KW Foods LLC. His company has obtained the rights to build 10 , of the popular California-based fast food chain, in the Chicago area.

Dressed head to toe in his own designs at Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle, Kanye, who is very much on first-name terms with Louis Vuitton, revealed to Women’s Wear Daily that he will be creating a shoe line as well as a women’s line with none other than his favorite designer – Louis Vuitton.
