With over 120 million views to his YouTube channel, and the recent explosive success of labelmates Dizzy Wright and Jarren Benton, Funk Volume label co-founder Hopsin adds fuel to his already game-changing firestorm with the release of his long awaited sophomore album Knock Madness. Known for explicitly detailing his struggle toward success as an independent artist, as well as scorching critiques of the current state of hip-hop music and its effects on youth culture, the new album finds Hopsin conveying various emotional states. From delving into sorrow and grief in “Old Friend” to the witty, abrasive and blunt “Hop is Back,” which featured widely discussed jabs at Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West, Hopsin provides conceptual versatility with Knock Madness. The album features a guest appearance from Tech N9ne as well as appearances from Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, SwizZz and more.
Hopsin is heavily involved in every step of the production of his music as co-founder of his indie label Funk Volume as well as his videos in which he acts, directs and edits. His multitude of talents have gained him over 647,000 YouTube subscribers and the video for KM’s second single “Hop Is Back” has over 2 million YouTube views since its debut. Hopsin and Funk Volume have also recently released their documentary, Independent Living, available for streaming or purchase here. After being available for only a day, Knock Madness has already received a warm response from HipHopDX, who deemed it, “a perfect album for die-hard fans & his bar-for-bar execution and self-awareness yield a solid listen.” The album has hit the #2 spot on the iTunes Hip-Hop charts and #4 on the overall charts.

Pusha T releases new video for “Hold On” off of his album debut, My Name Is My Name. For this song, he enlists MMG boss Rick Ross for a little inspiration. The story line shows the real consequences of living the street life. It is good, though, that Pusha and Ross tells a group of men that there’s a better way.

Today, SL Jones has released the video for “Been A While,” the second single from his recent, Don Cannon-hosted mixtape, Way Of Life No Hobby. The single, as with the rest of Way Of Life, was produced by Metro Boomin. The new video comes on the heels of Jones’ previous video, for lead single “Big Bank (No Ones),” and that song continues to pick up steam for the young rapper – the song is receiving spins on Atlanta’s 94.5FM; the video has being added into rotation on MTV Networks; a remix is in the works.
For “Been A While,” Jones and video directors Signal Point Studios, with whom Jones has collaborated on a handful of recent videos, wanted to keep things simple – the video splits performance shots with club footage from Jones’ mixtape release party for Way Of Life No Hobby. Way Of Life No Hobby is available for free download now via LiveMixtapes. The mixtape features Killer Mike, Kevin Gates, Starlito, Trouble, Mibbs (of Pac Div), and more.

One of the hottest joints off of Nothing Was The Same is now in video form. Drake‘s NWTS album was probably one of the best albums to be released this year. With over 700,000 sales in the first week, the Toronto native has secured his spot in hip hop with blunt and emotional wordplay that has properly set him apart. In his new video, “Worst Behavior” , the influence of his pops and Memphis music is also evident. Paying homage to the town his father grew up in, he reflects on the family-rooted synergies of Memphis, the city, its music, and its people.
Cameo appearances in the video included Juicy J, Project Pat, and MJG.
Take a peek at the video below:
NWTS is in stores and on iTunes now!
The Brooklyn Don Diva, Lil Kim is on fire. She’s been popping up everywhere, touring heavily from city to city and making appearances. According to reports, Kimmie Blanco is preparing for war with her upcoming mixtape Hard Core 2K13. Originally planned to hit the streets on Halloween, the mixtape will now be released on Black Friday.
No word yet on who we can expect to hear on the mixtape. But, we’re sure she’s coming with some heat…considering she hasn’t released a full project in quite some time.
Are we ready for a Lil Kim return? YES! We can’t wait to hear what she has to say. But until November 29th, Worldstar Hip Hop premiered a new video from the Queen B called “Look Like Money.” Check out the visuals below:
In more Lil Kim news, a new track from the Hard Core 2K13 mixtape features the rap star vibing out Jamaican-style. The tune is the first official single from the new project. Take a listen to “Dead Gal Walking” and let us know what you think.
Plies has finally released the visuals to his sexy hit,”Faithful.” Keeping it in-line with the song, the video is self-explanatory. It’s good to see somebody keep a video conceptualized in a simple way. Sometimes less is more.
No word yet on the official release date of his album “Purple Heart”, but while you wait you can purchase the single on iTunes here — http://bit.ly/PliesFaithfulItunes .

Dang! Why it take so long for T.I. to drop this video? Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head has been out for months now. Fans have been waiting on some new visuals. What’ s up Grand Hustle??
Whatever the case, we are glad that he’s dropped “The Way We Ride”. The album didn’t produce mega hits as his previous projects. So, we’re certain that trying to pick a fan favorite was a little difficult. If this is something to just feed the market, the song choice is cool. Personally, I’d prefer the R. Kelly joint. Not only do I think that was one of the best songs on the album, but it’s a female-conscious content will always have the sisters supporting and requesting heavy play on the radio. Also since Kellz will be releasing his new album Black Panties in December, “Can You Learn” would have created some added buzz.
Dang Tip…I wish you would have done “Can You Learn.” It’s cuffing season…a chick need some theme music.
Oh well. In case you’ve been waiting to see a video from Trouble Man, here you go.
Some collaborations just make sense when you hear the end result. This James Blake and Chance The Rapper joint is nothing less than dope.
The Nabil-directed video was shot in black and white and is considered simplistic in nature. But it’s the simplicity of the Brit and the American riding through a forest into the fog that makes the video compelling to watch. Let’s not forget the track itself. “Life Round Here” is one of those hip hop-inspired songs that you can listen to in any environment.
Chance The Rapper recently stated in an interview that he’s been a big fan of Blake’s for quite some time. When you got word that the two of them would be working together, he felt a bit of nervousness.
“It was kinda scary for ‘Life Round Here’ cuz it was already a song that I knew and I was like ‘I don’t wanna f— it up’,” Chance said. “It actually went through a couple of changes. We started off with more of a croon than anything and James ended up chopping that and I ended up coming up with the verses on it now a little bit later.”

Exclusive: Princess Digital Confirms New Crime Mob Album & What She’s Up To Now + Video “Lose Myself”
In 2004, a hot new group hit the scene. They tore up the radio stations and clubs with a highly energetic song “Knuck If You Buck.” The group (then known as Crime Mob) consisted of four males and two females. Not trying to out-do their male counterparts, Princess and Diamond possessed a quality that demanded audiences to watch and listen. This star quality and rapping skills sent the girls and the rest of the group on to a substantial level of musical success. After the group’s 2004 self-title album release, the six of them recorded another project in 2007 (Hated On Mostly) with lackluster success. The group eventually broke up.
Despite having internal issues and record labels, several members continued to pursue their dreams on their own. Princess Digital (as she is now known as), for instance, did not allow these circumstances to stop her. Since the group’s dismantling, Princess Digital has released several mixtapes throughout the years (i.e. Dirty Pop, P.S.A., Mixed & Destroyed 3, and Hiatus). We recently caught up with her on the red carpet of T.I.’s “Peep Show” Birthday Party to find out what projects she’s currently working on.
For starters, Princess Digital revealed that she and her former cohorts are working on a new Crime Mob album! This is great news to their fans. It’s been awhile since anyone has heard music from them as a team. However, Crime Mob did perform at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash this year to great reviews. Unfortunately, it was said that Princess did not perform. But, she is working on Crime Mob’s new project and also on a solo album.
Outside of the music game, Princess Digital has entered the acting world. She’s set to star in a stage play with Juanita Bynum. Also, the Lifetime Network recently featured Princess Digital on the show “Double Divas.” She appeared on Season 2 Episode 14 where she allowed the Divas to style her for an upcoming video shoot. Check out that episode HERE.
It is clear that Princess Digital isn’t stopping anytime soon. She’s talented, smart, and still a young woman that can work in different facets of the entertainment business. Music is her first love, therefore, she continues to write for other artists. But, she has her eyes set on the beauty industry as well. She will soon release more information regarding a new lipstick and hair line.
Over the weekend, she released a new video for “Lose Myself” which is definitely pop inspired. Although we’re not sure how her U.S. fans will respond, this tune should receive major play overseas. Strategically, this is a good plan for Princess Digital…spread the musical talent around to various genres. Ultimately, this will generate more revenue lanes. Princess Digital is keeping her finger on the pulse, bossin’ up, and we like that.

Tamar Braxton dropped the video to one our favorite cuts off of the Love and War album. The song “Hot Sugar” is a sexy video that showcases Tamar’s dance abilities and post-baby fierceness. With the help of several shirtless male dancers, Tamar Braxton shows us that she can be considered a real performer. Which is why, she’s now on tour with John Legend.
Check out her new video:
The 21-year old cutie from New Orleans released a new video from his Downtown: Life Under the Gun EP project. August Alsina‘s song “Ghetto” gives props to the round-the-way hood chicks who gets nothing but unconditional love from the fellas. ATL’s Rich Homie Quan laced the track with his southern swag and made it clear that appreciates the ghetto girls too.
Augusta Alsina is definitely one to watch. He has that “it” factor and the boy can actually sang. It’s been a minute that we’ve seen a street dude be emotional. August’s appeal to the ladies is definitely on ten.
Check it the video below:
Iamsu! has been ringing in my ear over the past year now. The California-born 22year old is clearly making waves in the music industry. With his breakout appearance on Loverance’s hit song “Up!”, Iamsu has carved an unique path of success with his catchy and upbeat wordplay.
His new joint ”Hipster Girls,” from his KILT 2 mixtape, Iamsu! gives praise to girls that look good but still have goals. Directed by Aris Jerome, took to the streets of San Francisco to capture the essence of the song. The song’s producer Trackademicks says the song represents Iamsu! and the HBK gang perfectly.
“Su and HBK are some of the coolest dudes, not just cool in the hip, swagger out sense, but that real chill California cool you see in the movies. That unforced cool is what many strive for and that’s what a lot of these girls embody. The song is a celebration of all those female macks we see out here in traffic who aren’t afraid to go after what they want.”

Although we’ve been hearing the whispers that there could possibly be a Hot Boyz reunion in the works, there hasn’t been any music that has surfaced as of yet. But, to help us get visually prepared to what may come, Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz got them all together for his latest video “Used 2.”
2 Chainz took a trip to New Orleans to film his next single off of the B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time album. Turk, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and Mannie Fresh rounded up, in what seems to be a happy moment, in the streets of the N.O. The locals all came out in support of Chainz and the Hot Boyz and didn’t forget about their former member B.G. In the video, you’ll see people rocking their FREE B.G. shirts.
It looks like this was one of those better times for the Hot Boyz whose dealt with money disagreements, splits, and jail time. Shout out to 2 Chainz for making this historical moment happen!

Wale release a video to his “Simple Man” track off of The Gifted album. The video follows Wale around Toronto, Canada during the OVO Festival weekend.
Nothing really special about the concept here. Simple video for a simple man…I guess.

Yesterday, we shared a few of her behind the scenes photos. Well, Rihanna’s finally released the new video to “Pour It Up”. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
Here’s a new video from Mike Will Made It. Having been in the studio establishing a close working relationship with Miley Cyrus, it is not a surprise that she’s featured on this joint. “23” is one of the few pop-influenced tracks with a heavy 808 behind it. However, I don’t know if we should considered this as pop because of Miley. But, thank goodness Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa joins in to make the rap/hip hop impact much stronger.
Mike Will gave it a try. But considering the hits he has produced for other artists, for this to be his own song, I don’t think he came hard enough.
Will Mike Will Made It succeed in this project? We’ll soon find out. Many producers have tried to step out from behind the boards to brand themselves as an artist and have failed. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen to him. He’s only 23 years old (hence the song). Mike Will Made It has plenty time to strengthen his brand and produce more chart-topping hits.
Maybe this compilation thing is just a bit immature.
Future may have some heat coming our way soon on this new album. He’s released “Honest” to mediocre appreciation from radio and fans. However, it is one my personal favorites from the Atlanta rapper. But, the certified hit maker is making sure something receives high placement on the charts before this album comes out. So, Future’s now moved on to his next joint, “Sh!t”. It is definitely banging the sound system speakers out in the club.
Directed by Alex Nazari, this dark street-level video is captured in the heart of South Central LA. Of course, you know his main man Mike Will Made It’s on the beat.
Check out the new visuals for “Sh!t” below:
Honest will be in stores on November 26.
Stuey Rock got another club banger on his hands. The Hot 107.9 radio personality and rapper has been putting out music for a couple years now. He’s apparently very serious about this rap thing. This track “Atlanta Lights” reveals what Stuey has known since his move from St. Louis to the durrty south – that the strip club scene is big deal in the A.
Many young women pursue college degrees in the day time and at night take off their clothes as a dancer. The lifestyle can work in their favor or not. But, no matter what the outcome is for these women who chose to dance, the stripping game isn’t fading away anytime soon.
Take a look at “Atlanta Lights”…

Rico Love is mainly known for his superior production and songwriting skills. As the man behind mega-hit’s for Usher (i.e. “Hey Daddy”, “There Goes My Baby”), he has been very influential in other artists careers as well. But, now he’s stepped out with his own project Discreet Luxury.
The 5-song EP reflects Rico’s appreciation of relationships and the female creature. The EP displays his unique ability to express love, sex, and everything in between with a certain level of finesse. It’s almost like if a man who’s known to be the neighborhood’s “Lady’s Man” needed a soundtrack, or a musical example of how he moves in the streets, then Rico Love’s EP will symbolize that.
On Discreet Luxury, the song “They Don’t Know” is a fan favorite. It breaks down the blueprint for a “side chick”. How she suppose to act, what type of gifts she’d receive, and various other characteristics are all spelled out in this song. While most of the time, people are heard bashing the jump-off, this is one song that congratulates them. And in return, Rico expresses his greatest appreciation that no one knows about their affair.
Side chicks… #WINNING!! LOL

Discreet Luxury is for sale on iTunes now.
B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time hit the streets on Tuesday with heavy promo and media coverage. Known as one of the pioneers of adding visual elements with his music releases, 2 Chainz is not allowing a minute to slide by without giving fans videos for his new tracks.
First up off of Me Time is one of my favorite tracks is “Where You Been”. The track features Cap 1 and basically a behind the scenes collage of 2 Chainz on tour. Check out the new video below:
S/O to Pesh over at Livemixtapes for sending this joint!
Future is all geared up for his sophomore album, Honest. The lead single off of the new project also titled “Honest” is a fan favorite. So much so, Future has released a visual for the song.
In the video, the LeToya Luckett stars as his leading lady. While Future is looking dapper in all red, LeToya shows off her sexiness in a long white fitted dress. Turn up LeToya…we see you!
Check out the video below:
The single can be purchased now on iTunes. The full album Honest is in stores November 11.
Solmanipulation is an EDM/Trap/Experimental collaborative project between Hip-Hop producer N8 the Gr8, R&B singer Maryann and Visual Artists Van Dope. Branching out from their roots the trio offers a more forward thinking electronic sound/visual than their previous ventures. They call their sound “DMT” short for Dance Music Trap. “The Best Things” is the first Audio/Visual release from the group’s upcoming project. The song is available for free download on their Soundcloud page, “Deeper” is also currently posted and will be the groups second release. Iggy Azalea has brought her U.K. smash single across the pond to see how the American’s will respond. The song, “Change Your Life”, is the next single off of her upcoming album The New Classic. The song features T.I. and is very colorful, artistic, but edgy enough to gain viewership from hardcore hip hop fans.

Big Sean got some bangers on this new album. One of my favorites is the “10 2 10″ joint. Although the video itself isn’t much to see, the simplicity helps the actual song and its lyrics stand out even more. Pretty genius, Big Sean.
Anyhoo, in case you haven’t seen “10 2 10″, check it out below:
Finally, the CTE/Def Jam camp has released the video to YG’s “My N***A” track. In my opinion, this was the hottest song on the B.Y.L.U.G. mixtape which dropped a few months ago. So, it is good to know there’s visuals to go along with it. Although I’m still becoming familiar with the California-born rapper, I appreciate his L.A. sound and the authenticity of his work. His chemistry with DJ Mustard is an added plus too.
YG is expected to drop his first solo album on November 19. No word yet on who all will appear on “My Krazy Life”. But word is that Drake will be featured on YG’s lead single “Who You Love.”
Peep the video below:
Jay-Z released the official video to his first joint off of Magna Carta Holy Grail, “Holy Grail“. The video, which features Justin Timberlake, is a pretty dark video that encompasses all things art and beauty. Interestingly, the Jay and Justin recorded their parts separately. But, editing techniques and slow switches with the lyrics brought both parts together seamlessly.
Check it the official video directed by Anthony Mandler:
Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane may go back and forth with the beef, but that isn’t stopping the boys from being productive.
Waka recently visited the U.K. and took time out to get a video in. The new tune “Where It At” is classic Waka and will keep the club boppers turnt up. Check out his new video below:
Be on the lookout for a new Brick Squad Monopoly EP this fall.
Stalley is such a cutie pie. Now with the new grill, he’s even cuter. LOL…*waving* “HEY STAL!”
Anyhoo, MMG’s Stalley dropped a new video this week for “Nineteen Eighty7″ which is featured on his latest mixtape Honest Cowboy. The song, which is produced by Terrace Martin, is graced also by TDE’s Schoolboy Q.
Check out the visuals below:

Big Sean released a new video in preparation for his new project. The inspirational song, which features Miley Cyrus, sounds like an anthem which could easily be the backup track for any sports commercials. Is Sean moving towards more pop records this time around? For those who may hate it, the reality is that pop music sells. Big Sean, apparently, got his eyes on the prize.
Check out his new joint below for “Fire“:
