On Thursday, Feb. 27th, Atlanta artist Fahamu Pecou welcomed a sold out (and diverse) crowd to the first ‘InterSessions: Art x Hip Hop Dialogue‘ event held at the High Museum of Arts. The sit-down conversation about the ways in which hip-hop and art intertwines included Atlanta rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris Jr and High Museum’s curator, Michael Rooks. The ArtxHip Hop series kick-off was created to coincide with Art Papers Magazine’s “Art x Hip Hop” issue, in which Pecou was its guest editor.
The candid conversation between the three gentlemen began with the acknowledgement of arts close relationship with hip hop. Since hip hop’s inception, from graffiti to fashion, art has had an undeniable impact on the culture. Pecou navigated the evening by asking his guests questions regarding their entry into their perspective industries, how art transcends into their world, the future of artxhiphop and society’s acceptance, and other insightful things. Both Pecou and T.I. shared a similar story on how they both made the decision to pursue art and rap as a career. T.I. explained how it was LL Cool J’s “I’m Bad” that intrigued him enough to want to learn to rap. Pecou, on the other hand, mentioned Goodie Mob’s first album Soul Food as his inspiration to want to learn more about hip hop. Their love of the music is what both pinpointed as the common factor for which they owe their appreciation.
Michael Rooks, the official curator for the museum, understands too the relation of both worlds. The audience members learned more about his position within ArtxHipHop. And that is, the next piece of the puzzle that holds the two together. Rooks job is to manage and maintain the integrity and authenticity of historical artifacts.
Throughout the evening, Pecou, T.I., and Rooks opened the minds of most of the audience members who may not have known anything about their lives and careers. Therefore, it was a pleasant surprise to see the three worlds collide, understand one another, and accept each of their individual existences.

Jennifer Hudson released her first single for her upcoming album, which is expected later this year. The song, “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)”, samples the Evelyn Champagne King’s ”I’m In Love”. The old school dance tune is the perfect backdrop to T.I.‘s player lyrics.
Jennifer recently spoke about the song’s producer, Pharrell Williams, and how it’s been working with him on her new project.
“Working with a visionary like Pharrell was a really special experience for me. He is one of the most talented musicians of our time and I couldn’t be more proud of what we did together.”
If this song is any indication of JHud’s next album, she may have a banger on her hands.
The funeral services for Kimberle Johnson and Glen “Doe B” Thomas took place on Saturday, Jan. 4. Both services were held at True Divine Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama.
The families and friends of both victims were lined up to pay their last respects. Many fans of rapper Doe B were there as well as his Grand Hustle family. After his mother, Doe B’s manager, Frank White, and mentor T.I. spent a moment to speak about their friend. In T.I.’s eulogy, he talked about his first time meeting Doe B and how surprised he was of his maturity level. T.I. also took the time to promise Doe B’s family and fans that his music and legacy will live on.
“It’s very rare that you find somebody at the age of 20 or 21 and you could walk them into a room with a Nelly, or you could walk them into a rom with a Timbaland or Jay Z, and they not lose their cool, they’re composed, postured, with the morals, standards, and the principles that were instilled in him from his family, his mom, his dad, grandmama, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles… I will never let his life be lived in vain. All of my resources, all of my relationships, all of my efforts, all of my energy will be put forth to make sure that his dream lives on.”
T.I. also took a moment to shine light on Doe B’s work ethic.
“Over here at Hustle Gang, we have a host of artists. All of them know that I tell them ‘listen, your talent is only going to get you so far’. It’s the things that you learn, the things that you are able to do outside of the booth that will separate you from the rest. I said the same thing to Glen. He never left the studio… he said ‘I’d rather be here than the club, because I know this is going to pay off.”
A third victim passed away over the weekend after being hospitalized since the incident. 20 year old, Tim Hamilton, were too an innocent bystander who’s death is now added charges of the two assailants. Jason McWilliams and Darius Thomas, both are charged with three counts of capital murder. They are both are being held with no bond.

In the midst of his untimely death, Doe B‘s talent is living on through unreleased music. One track hit the internet yesterday featuring T.I.. “Flying With Angels” premiered on DJ MLK‘s latest mixtape project ‘Goodnight Don’t Exist In ATL 3 ’.
“Flying With Angels” feat. T.I. & Doe B
DJ MLK’s ‘Goodnight Don’t Exist In ATL 3′ also features remixes of “Cut Her Off” (K Camp) and “OG Bobby Johnson” (Que) by T.I. Other Grand Hustle/Hustle Gang affiliates on the project includes Shad Da God and Trae Tha Truth.

Over the weekend, T.I. and his Grand Hustle family took a huge loss in the death of label artist, Doe B. The rising star, who’s real name is Glenn Thomas, was shot and killed in a Montgomery, AL nightclub. Also, a Troy University student Kimberle Johnson was shot in the head and six other innocent bystanders were injured.
The rap career of Doe B had recently taken off after signing to T.I.’s Hustle Gang. His raw and gripping tales of his life was heard in many of his songs he’d released prior to his untimely death. According to music insiders, Doe B was “special” and had a very promising future as being one of the only artist out of Alabama to ever gain nationwide success.
Reports speculate that Doe B was indeed target during the nightclub shooting at Centennial Hill Bar & Grill. Information has come forth suggesting that the assailant had ongoing beef with the rapper due to his popularity and escalating success. According to streets, the shooter was jealous of Doe B and had sparked a confrontation with the rapper in the past. No word yet on if the shooter has been captured by authorities.
One of those closely affected is Doe B’s manager, DJ Frank White. After news of his friends death, he took to Twitter to express his disgust of the club owner and the club’s security for allowing a patron to walk in with a handgun.
“I will do everything i can to see the rose never open,” White wrote. “How many people gotta be f*ckin killed. ??? Yall let guns in the club?? Security yall let guns in the club??? Again???! You need to be arrested. This blood is on your hands #therose #centineiel hill??? A big piece of me has died…”
DJ Frank White also tweeted that he told the rapper many times before to “stay away from this hating a** city! over and over…RIP Doe B @CBMDOEB.”
It is unfortunate that the 22 year old rapper’s family, label, and fans couldn’t see him fully blossom as an artist. And as a resident of Montgomery, it’s unclear why Doe B decided to patronize a known “death trap” in the first place (especially since he was just there visiting and not booked to perform).
Some times your own hometown (a place where you feel most comfortable) is the last place you need to be.
The mayor of Montgomery and the owner of the club have both spoken out regarding the future of Centennial Hill Bar & Grill. The club is now closed for good.
Over the past 10 years, that venue has had several homicides but still remained open. In the 90s, the club was called Top Flight. Then later on, it changed to the Rose Supper Club. It recently opened up again, late this summer, under new management and a new name. Local residents say that the night of Doe B and Kimberle’s death was the clubs first official college night kick-off. Since its re-opening, the Centennial had only hosted adult-related events.
Our condolences goes out to the family of Doe B and Kimberle Johnson. This was a senseless crime and hopefully their families will see justice soon.
Mike Will Made-It Put On for ATL w/ T.I., Jeezy, Project Pat, 2 Chainz, Trinidad & More [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
The city of Atlanta was in for a treat on Monday night. Local producer extrodanaire Mike Will Made-It, held a live concert boasting some of the biggest names in rap music. The event was held at Terminal West and we heard the place was packed out. For the past week or so, the event was being marketed without listing Mike Will’s “special guests”. With the laundry list of hits the young producer has, it was no surprised when certain celebrities hit the stage.
Performances were given by T.I., Jeezy, Project Pat, 2 Chainz, Trinidad James, Migos, Johnny Cinco, Pastor Troy, Cyhi The Prynce, Been Trill Boyz, and Two 9. Also, Mike Will introduced the brain behind the Pyrex and Been Trill clothing lines, Virgil Abloh.

It is always a pleasure to see people, especially young Black men, doing their part in the community. We often times hear about their shortcomings or issues in the media. But, we hardly ever see any press announcements about the good that they do.
This Thanksgiving, several of our favorite rappers went back to where it all started to show a little gratitude. In Atlanta, T.I. handed out turkeys (and other food items) to the city’s Westside community. The “give back” event was held at the Adamsville Recreation Center. Not too far from the Harris clan, Jeezy took a different approach this year for Thanksgiving. Normally he would load a truck up full of turkeys and head over to the 4th ward area to hand them out to the less fortunate. But, this year he teamed up with Shanti Das over at the Atlanta Mission, and prepared meals for the people at the shelter.
Meek Mill took the opportunity to show his homeland of Philadelphia some major love. This was his first annual ‘Dreamchaser’s Thanksgiving’. The event turn out was great and Meek was elated to know that he could do a small part for one of Philly’s areas (North Philly).
“I show love back for the support they’ve given me, but you know this is like one of the easiest things we do during the day like turkeys and food and nothing involved. When it’s big, it’s about showing the kids you can come from nothing and become something, they can be in my position and help give back to the community anytime,” Mill said.
Big Sean and Mike Epps joined forces to give their hometown citizens. Since Big Sean’s start in the rap game, he’s always shown his appreciation to Detriot with free concerts, holiday give-backs, etc. So, he’s no stranger to it. The essence of being a stand-up guy lies definitely inside of Big Sean.
Countless other celebrities made the most of their holiday time this year. Kudos to everyone that acted unselfishly by supporting a cause or being the driving force behind your own “give-back” initiative.
Mario Mims b.k.a Yo Gotti‘s long-awaited studio album is finally here. The 15-year independent grind for the Memphis native has paid off in an unique way. Known as a true advocate of the dope boy/street rap, Gotti has always maintained street credibility in and out the music game. But he’s signed to EPIC Records and now his music has the ability to reach broader audiences. So, does this mean he must change his tune? Does he need clean up his content? Uh…nope. He’s still Yo Gotti.
There’s something to be said about a man that has waited this long to sign to a major label. He’s his own man. And that’s why many of his peers respect him.
On his new project I AM, gives his core fan base just what they wanted. That real sh-t. Although, Yo Gotti ventured out a little with the production, he’s done a good job at maintaining the integrity of his sound, his story, and what he stands for. Features on the album includes T.I., Jeezy, Rich Homie Quan, Meek Mill, J. Cole, Ne-Yo, Wale, Kendall Morgan, and Canei Finch. Production credits includes Metro Boomin, Honorable C-Note, The Youngstars, P-Lo, and others.

In case you missed his latest video featuring T.I., check out “King Sh-t” below:
Dang! Why it take so long for T.I. to drop this video? Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head has been out for months now. Fans have been waiting on some new visuals. What’ s up Grand Hustle??
Whatever the case, we are glad that he’s dropped “The Way We Ride”. The album didn’t produce mega hits as his previous projects. So, we’re certain that trying to pick a fan favorite was a little difficult. If this is something to just feed the market, the song choice is cool. Personally, I’d prefer the R. Kelly joint. Not only do I think that was one of the best songs on the album, but it’s a female-conscious content will always have the sisters supporting and requesting heavy play on the radio. Also since Kellz will be releasing his new album Black Panties in December, “Can You Learn” would have created some added buzz.
Dang Tip…I wish you would have done “Can You Learn.” It’s cuffing season…a chick need some theme music.
Oh well. In case you’ve been waiting to see a video from Trouble Man, here you go.
New Music: DJ Khaled – “I Feel Like Pac/I Feel Like Biggie” feat. Diddy, Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz, T.I., & Rick Ross
DJ Khaled always seem to know the key to capturing ones attention. Like the stunt he pulled on MTV when he asked Nicki Minaj to marry him, Khaled is causing a stir again on social media sites. This time, however, involve the use of two of hip hop’s greatest emcees.
The new track “I Feel Like Pac / I Feel Like Biggie” pays homage to the two deceased rappers. Diddy, T.I., Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and Swizz Beatz lend bars to the Beat Bully-produced track. Although, Meek and T.I. carried the song, many can’t get over the fact that DJ Khaled even had the audacity to use Tupac and Notorious BIG’s name in its main hook. Many people feel as though this was somewhat a slap in the face. For instance, Ma$e took to his Twitter and Instagram to air out his frustration.
“Ni–as sold u out BIG. I hate the way your legacy has been watered down. I don’t have to be from Bk. Let him rest. #respect”
Does Ma$e and other critics have a point? Or is everyone blowing this whole situation out of proportion?
Whichever the case, DJ Khaled is getting a great buzz out of it, which is especially beneficial considering he’s dropping Suffering From Success soon.
Clifford “T.I.” Harris celebrated his 33rd birthday this past Saturday in Atlanta. The “peep show” themed birthday bash was one of the highlights from the BET Hip Hop Awards weekend.
The party was held at the 200 Peachtree Street event facility. The chic affair brought out many of Tip’s celebrity friends, family, and fans. Of course, the Grand Hustle family was in attendance to partake in the festivities. Business partner Jason Geter, Hanna King, Clay Evans, B.o.B., Young Dro, Big Kuntry, MacBoney, Spodee, Doe B, Mitchel’le, and comedian Lil Duval were in the building. T.I”s boo Tiny Harris was there too along with Shekinah, and Pretty Hustle’s group French Kiss, Ryan Cameron, DJ Holiday, and Nelly.
STACKS Magazine was on the scene to capture the who’s who in attendance. Celebrities and local socialites who came out to support The Kang were singer/actress Brandy Norwood (who sung a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday to Tip), Tyrese, Jennifer Hudson, Mimi Faust and her boo Niko, R&B singer Sammie, Sean Garrett, Princess (formerly of Crime Mob), Bola, Shay Johnson, Rocko, Nicci Gilbert and daughter Brandy-Lynn, D. Woods, Monyetta Shaw, Dice, Keisha Knight-Pulliam, Tony Rock, Erica Dixon, KeKe Wyatt and her husband, Lil Fate (DTP), Tameka Foster-Raymond, Funky Dineva, Michelle Brown, and many more.
Check out a few photos from the red carpet:
The most interesting aspect of T.I.’s birthday party was the peep show boxes that were placed throughout the room. It was very unique in that each box showcased a different concept (i.e. College Girls, Magic City, Body Painted chicks, Tattoo girl, Dominatrix girls, etc). Each of the boxes were picturesque and visually appealing. It definitely added a different element to your average birthday party. Also, the dance girls that were randomly placed and walking throughout the room was an added pleasure to many of the guests.
The only downside to the evening was the fact that the birthday boy himself showed up late. So, he wasn’t able to party as long as many of his supporters wanted him to. With that said, he bypassed the step and repeat outside the venue and slid straight inside the party. Longtime industry friend Sean “P. Diddy” Combs also made a brief appearance. By the way, T.I. was clean as hell in his maroon blazer. Several of the Grand Hustle family also was dressed to the nines like Dro, Lil Duval, MacBoney, etc.

Aye…this joint right here takes me back. Although I was a young jit, I still grooved at the cookouts and got a baby two-step on. Jennifer Hudson’s new song “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” takes you straight to the late 70′s early 80′s when the disco era took off.
To smooth out the groove, she enlisted T.I. to add his swag and give the ladies some kind words to marinate on. According to SingersRoom, Jennifer Hudson recently shared a bit of news regarding her upcoming third album and what we should expect.
“This record is not about me playing a part or me as spokesperson. Should I give away the title? Let’s just say you’re gonna get Jennifer-ized,” Hudson told Angeleno Magazine. “What we’re doing feels so right that I never want to go home. My sister and my manager will be sleeping on the couch while we work until 4 or 5am.”
So, I guess we can expect a mid to upbeat feel good album. I can dig it.
Listen to her new joint below:
J-Hud’s untitled album is due early 2014.
Iggy Azalea has brought her U.K. smash single across the pond to see how the American’s will respond. The song, “Change Your Life”, is the next single off of her upcoming album The New Classic. The song features T.I. and is very colorful, artistic, but edgy enough to gain viewership from hardcore hip hop fans.
Watch her new video below”
Young Dro’s street anthem is still lingering in these streets. “F.D.B.” is without a doubt one of Dro’s most recent bangers that gets much love from DJs. So, why not keep that flame going by adding some other folks to the song??
On this new remix, Young Dro is accompanied by his bossman T.I., Trinidad James, DJ Drama, and French Montana. Check it out and let us know if the remix added an extra spark to the track.
Iggy Azalea is on the way with her first album The New Classic. Not sure if this will appear on the project, but here’s a new single released in the U.K. called “Change Your Life”. The song features her Hustle Gang partna, T.I. and is definitely part of the EDM movement. Check it out:
Vh1 premiered the season opening episodes for two of their highly rated shows Monday night. After the following the explosive part 1 of the ”Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” reunion, the time slot placements on VH1 was strategically on-point and held most viewers by hostage. Also, after viewing the drama that occurred on the reunion show, most viewers needed to let loose of the foolery and tune in to some good ole wholesome television. This is the flip-side of Vh1 that remarkably offset its ratchet-ness.
First up was “T.I. & Tiny’s: Family Hustle” season 4, which dove straight into the love life of their 13 year old son Messiah. Becoming a man involves dating, so what better way to kick off his birthday than by taking a chick on a date. Unfortunately, the date was chaperoned by Tip and Tiny and the rest of the clan. In case you watched the full episode, here’s some extra footage of the family’s Medieval Times outing below:
The Game and his long-time girlfriend, Tiffney, is back as well in “Marrying The Game”. In their first episode, the on-again-off-again couple still are going through the motions. They both decided to separate after last season’s failed wedding plans in order to re-evaluate their relationship. During this time, their three kids have been spending time at each others home. Although their co-parenting techniques are working, The Game has made it a priority to bond more with his kids since he’s away a lot. Peep out his bonding moment below:
If you haven’t heard about Travi$ Scott by now, you’re not a true hip hop head.
His rise to becoming the topic in many closed door record label discussions was a quick one. After releasing one single “Lights (Love Sick)”, artists like T.I. caught wind and instantly knew that Travi$ was the next “it” kid. Travi$’s talent is eclectic, avant guard, strange, artistic, and street-worthy. There’s certain artist/producers you can listen to and just know that they are special. Travi$ Scott is one of them.
Hot 97′s Rosenberg recently sat down with Travi$ to find out his journey into the rap game, confusing affiliation with LA Reid, T.I., and Kanye West, and more. Check out the interview below:
Last week, we reported that T.I. confirmed that Yo Gotti was now affiliated (or signed) to Grand Hustle/Hustle Gang imprint. The revelation sparked interest from many blog sites and fans who were a little bit confused about the relationship/deal in the first place. Although, the two rappers have held a friendship for years, Gotti is a self-made man as is Tip so it didn’t make much sense for the Memphis rapper to be signed to him. Maybe the affiliation was going to be more like a management type connection. This is something that Tip could very well be successful at given Gotti is now in the major leagues. He definitely could use some mentorship from a fellow artist that has similar life experiences and was able to use music to branch off into other lucrative business ventures.
Anyway, Yo Gotti disputed the claims and reveals that there is no such deal in place with Grand Hustle. His Cocaine Muzik Group signed an estimated $4 million deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records. He affirms that their friendship is in act and that he looks up to T.I. like a big brother. Watch as he discusses the confusion with Miss Info:
Well, that’s good to know that ain’t no love lost and that they are cool as a fan.
Yo Gotti will be releasing his second studio album I AM sometime in November.
Apparently, not everyone enjoys rap music. A rock band, Bloodstone, recently filed a lawsuit against T.I. and Kanye West for sampling their song without permission. The original song “I’m Just Doing My Job” was used on T.I.’s 2003 Trap Muzik album. Tip’s version “Doin My Job” was produced by Kanye West and contained the sample in its entirety. Bloodstone lawsuit claims that they were not made aware that Universal Music Enterprises granted T.I. the license to use the sample. The 3-member band also claims they have not received any money made from the millions of copies sold of the song. They are seeking punitive damages and are seeking an injunction on the song. (Source)
In a recent interview with VladTV, T.I. and Trae The Truth sat down to discuss Grand Hustle’s next move, longetivity in the business, and new artist signed to Grand Hustle. Surprisingly, Yo Gotti’s name was confirmed by T.I. as the newest affiliate to the Hustle Gang imprint. Additionally, T.I. says he has his sights on Maino, Uncle Murda, and a young cat from Pittsburgh name Hard-O. Check out the exclusive interview below:
T.I. isn’t letting up on his promotion of Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head. In fact, he’s been releasing videos out of no where. Case in point, this new joint featuring Trae The Truth. The black and white video, directed by Phillyflyboy, is somewhat an ode to the street life. The track “Check This, Dig That” is actually a bonus track off the album. Take a look and let us know what you think.
What happened to the female-inspired cuts like “Cruisin” and “Can You Love” featuring R. Kelly? I’d personally like to see those songs in video form. Aye yo Tip… make that happen bruh. LOL
Trinidad James, Rich Homie Quan, Young Dro, & Others Repped The City Hard @ Birthday Bash 18 [Exclusive Photos & Vids]
The whole city of Atlanta and surrounding states came out in thousands to the hottest concert of the summer. Radio One & Hot 107.9 kicked off their 18th annual Birthday Bash this past weekend. Over 30,000 people where in attendance inside the Philips Arena where the industry’s hottest artists (and new artists) set the stage on fire. Southside Atlanta artist 2 Chainz was the headliner and gained many praises via social networks for his set. Wale, Meek Mill, French Montana, and Drake made special appearances that took BB18 way over the top. But, the crowd showed major hometown love to their favorite artists who were raised in the Black Mecca of the South: B.o.B., Rich Homie Quan, Rocko, Young Dro, Shawty Lo, and Trinidad James.

Fathers Day is this weekend, June 16. Often men complain that they don’t get recognized enough, so this is one day when its truly all about them. For those of us lucky enough to have our fathers, step-father, or some fatherly-figure in our lives, use the day to celebrate everything about them. We know, for boys, it is difficult to handle dads at times. The tough exterior can intimidate the youngins’. But it’s those stern and authoritative characteristics that makes young boys appreciate what they bring to their upbringing. For a son, many life lessons can be learned from their father. Dads are supposed to be there to teach their kids how to change a flat tire, cut the grass, how to treat a woman, etc. Also, in some cases, dads who have made successful careers for themselves, can help their sons their own careers (whether they want to follow in their footsteps or not).
In Hollywood, the father and son dynamic can be intriguing. Although we don’t see many African-American father and son duos entering business together, in particular, there are a few that has shown us on a larger scale their love and mutual admiration. So for Fathers Day, here are several duos (or sets) that are setting the standard in the working relationship between father and son.
Percy Miller came from humble beginnings only to become a rap mogul and businessman. Mr. Miller has only one son, Romeo, who himself has entered into show businesses. Romeo runs No Limit Records Forever. He raps, acts, and was formerly an athlete just like his famous dad.
One of the most celebrated and talented African-American actors in Hollywood in Hollywood is Morgan Freeman. He’s been in the industry for years and his son has been taking over the family legacy. Alphonso Freeman has starred in several productions “The Bucket List”, “Southland”, and various other films. With the guidance from his talented father, Alphonso is sure to go a long way in the movie business.
It is evident on T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle that Clifford Harris is transforming his kids into becoming true hustlers. From his two oldest sons Messiah (the writer) and Domani (the rapper) to the two younger ones King (the actor) and Major (the actor), T.I. has definitely passed down his lessons from his array of life experiences to his kids. Becoming household names themselves, doing work and making bank with their pop on television is setting them up for a great future and celebrity status.

Surprise! ‘Family Hustle’s’ Shekinah Celebrates Her 29th Birthday with BFF Tiny & Friends [Exclusive Photos]
VH1′s T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle’s breakout star and celebrity stylist, Shekinah Anderson, celebrated her 29th birthday this past Friday. The all-white “surprise” birthday affair was attended by Shekinah’s closest friends and family. And yes, her best friend Tameka “Tiny” Harris was in the building.
The event was held at The Art of Giving Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia. Party-goers were treated to a buffet and plenty of drinks. The birthday party was packed out. It was evident that Shekinah is loved by many.

Trouble Man: Heave Is the Head is still pumping out songs. the next one up with visuals is “Hello”. The track features Ceelo Green and produced by Pharrell Williams. The song basically is directed to anyone (hater) that is standing in the way of you and your success.
Check out the video below…
Lately, there’s been several “gangs” or label crews popping up out of no where. Well, Grand Hustle is the next up to do so with their pack of emcees called Hustle Gang.
Their first compilation project, G.D.O.D. (Get Dough Or Die), was released to the masses yesterday. Headed up by The King, Clifford “T.I.” Harris, G.D.O.D. features most of the top tier rappers affiliated to the Grand Hustle label: Trae The Truth, Young Dro, Chip, B.o.B., Iggy Azalea, Michel’le, Travi$ Scot, Doe B, Big Kuntry, Shad Da God, Yung Booke, Spodee, Kris Stephens and Mac Boney. However, several familiar names appear on the new mixtape like Lil Duval, French Montana, Meek Mill, Mystikal, and Problem.
The overall mixtape is pretty impressive. The Hustle Gang is definitely trying to make a statement with this one…lyrically their team can spit with the best of them. With the inclusion of several production picks that seem out of the norm for Grand Hustle, G.D.O.D. is solid enough for a download and several listens.
So, listen to the free mixtape below and let us know what you think!
The head honcho of Grand Hustle better known as T.I. has released the video for his song “Memories Back Then.”
The song was originally recorded for T.I.’s recently released album Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head but didn’t meet sample clearance requirements in time for the album’s release. But we all know one monkey doesn’t stop the King of the South’s show and he has moved forward with releasing the track with a different beat. “Memories Back Then” will now serve as the lead single for the upcoming Hustle Gang compilation mixtape ‘G.D.O.D. The Introduction’.
Even though the Atlanta bred rapper can hold his own, he ups the ante on this track with the added features. Kendrick Lamar and Grand Hustle’s B.O.B lend their lyrical skills to the track while R&B newcomer Kris Stephens showcases her vocal talents on song’s chorus.
Besides who’s actually on the song, the content and message of “Memories Back Then” rings loud and should make a lot of ladies think about the position they play in men’s lives. Check out the video below and let us know what you think about the video and the song itself.
Even though Lil Wayne has been a bit under the weather, that’s still not throwing a monkey wrench in his plans to let the show go on.
In addition to the Young Money head honcho releasing his tenth studio album, I Am Not a Human Being II, on Tuesday, he also plans to go on tour this summer.
Beginning in July, Lil Wayne will embark on part two of his America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. He is scheduled to hit 40 stops in a two month time frame with his first stop being on July 9th at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama.

Well well well…two of my favorite caucasian male singers released new videos this week.
First off, Justin Timberlake set it off recently with the release of The “20/20 Experience” album. On track to sell 800,000 in the first week, this album will be Justin’s career high. If you haven’t picked up the album, you are missing out. From beginning to end, JT did the damn thing! One of my favorite tracks on the album, “Mirrors”, now is accompanied with a visual. Check out the adorable video below which chronicles the love life of an elderly couple.
Often compared to Justin, but in my opinion are very different artists, Robin Thicke released a fun sexy video for the lead single to his upcoming project. “Blurred Lines” features rapper T.I. and Pharrell and three lovely ladies. Looks like all of the fellas had a good time. Check out the video below…
A few days ago we brought you the trailer to T.I.’s next single off his Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head album. “Addresses”, a short film, is filled with plenty action as the Grand Hustle squad run the A-town splitting wigs in hopes of finding the ultimate enemy. Although, there’s many high-powered guns in the video, Tip plays it safe by taking the Boss role and leaving the actual killings up to his goons. Smart move…
