New Mixtape: Hustle Gang – “G.D.O.D.” [hosted by DJ Drama & DJ MLK]

grandhustle-gdod-cover

Lately, there’s been several “gangs” or label crews popping up out of no where. Well, Grand Hustle is the next up to do so with their pack of emcees called Hustle Gang.

Their first compilation project, G.D.O.D. (Get Dough Or Die), was released to the masses yesterday.  Headed up by The King, Clifford “T.I.” Harris, G.D.O.D. features most of the top tier rappers affiliated to the Grand Hustle label:  Trae The Truth, Young Dro, Chip, B.o.B., Iggy Azalea, Michel’le, Travi$ Scot, Doe B, Big Kuntry, Shad Da God, Yung Booke, Spodee, Kris Stephens and Mac Boney.  However, several familiar names appear on the new mixtape like Lil Duval, French Montana, Meek Mill, Mystikal, and Problem.

The overall mixtape is pretty impressive. The Hustle Gang is definitely trying to make a statement with this one…lyrically their team can spit with the best of them. With the inclusion of several production picks that seem out of the norm for Grand Hustle, G.D.O.D. is solid enough for a download and several listens.

So, listen to the free mixtape below and let us know what you think!

New Vid: T.I. Feat. B.O.B, Kendrick Lamar & Kris Stephens – “Memories Back Then”

TI

The head honcho of Grand Hustle better known as T.I. has released the video for his song “Memories Back Then.”

The song was originally recorded for T.I.’s recently released album Trouble  Man:  Heavy is the Head but didn’t meet sample clearance requirements in time for the album’s release.  But we all know one monkey doesn’t stop the King of the South’s show and he has moved forward with releasing the track with a different beat. “Memories Back Then” will now serve as the lead single for the upcoming Hustle Gang compilation mixtape ‘G.D.O.D. The Introduction’.

Even though the Atlanta bred rapper can hold his own, he ups the ante on this track with the added features. Kendrick Lamar and Grand Hustle’s B.O.B lend their lyrical skills to the track while R&B newcomer Kris Stephens showcases her vocal talents on song’s chorus.

Besides who’s actually on the song, the content and message of “Memories Back Then” rings loud and should make a lot of ladies think about the position they play in men’s lives. Check out the video below and let us know what you think about the video and the song itself.

New Vids: Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” + Robin Thicke feat. T.I. & Pharrell “Blurred Lines”

robin-justin-stacksmag

Well well well…two of my favorite caucasian male singers released new videos this week.

First off, Justin Timberlake set it off recently with the release of The “20/20 Experience” album. On track to sell 800,000 in the first week, this album will be Justin’s career high. If you haven’t picked up the album, you are missing out. From beginning to end, JT did the damn thing! One of my favorite tracks on the album, “Mirrors”, now is accompanied with a visual. Check out the adorable video below which chronicles the love life of an elderly couple.

Often compared to Justin, but in my opinion are very different artists, Robin Thicke released a fun sexy video for the lead single to his upcoming project.  “Blurred Lines” features rapper T.I. and Pharrell and three lovely ladies. Looks like all of the fellas had a good time. Check out the video below…

New Vid: T.I. – Addresses

A few days ago we brought you the trailer to T.I.’s next single off his Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head album.  “Addresses”, a short film, is filled with plenty action as the Grand Hustle squad run the A-town splitting wigs in hopes of finding the ultimate enemy.  Although, there’s many high-powered guns in the video, Tip plays it safe by taking the Boss role and leaving the actual killings up to his goons.  Smart move…

Check out the full version of “Addresses” below…

T.I. Continues ‘Trouble Man’ Push with “Addresses” Short Film [Trailer]

One thing I love about T.I. is that, despite adversity, he keeps pushing on. The hustle is definitely in his blood.

As such, T.I. continues his push of his latest release Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head with the next single off the project. “Addresses”, the track that many speculate was a Gucci Mane diss, will soon hit the net as a short film.  The film is directed by Clifton Bell and stars his fellow Grand Hustle cohorts in a action packed, adrenaline-filled story line. From the looks of it, this will be a hot film.

Check out the trailer below…

In case you haven’t purchased it, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head is in stores and iTunes now!

New Vid: “All Gold Everything Remix” feat. Trinidad James, T.I., Young Jeezy & 2 Chainz

Filmed in Atlanta, Trinidad James’s “All Gold Everything” gets a facelift with the A’s allstar players. T.I. , Young Jeezy, and 2 Chainz didn’t dissappoint at all on the remix. 2 Chainz even debuted his alter-ego voice which has a European flare to it. Funny indeed. Nonetheless, check out the AGE remix video below and let us know what you think.

Here’s some exciting news for all you T.I. and Tiny fans.

Despite the adversaties the King has had to face throughout his life, Clifford “T.I. ” Harris has shown us all that no matter what troubles we face, we all can still succeed.  In this case, we all can be successful and bring our families along for the ride.

The outpouring of support and high ratings during ‘T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle’ first two seasons has pushed VH1 to greenlight its forthcoming third season. Set to air on April 8 at 10PM, one of hip hop’s favorite families will allow cameras back in as they continue their various hustles and family escapades. In season three, T.I. will continue to promote his latest album ‘Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head’ and venutre into more films while his wife Tiny step up her efforts with the Pretty Hustle label artists, OMG Girlz and French Kiss.

Featuring rap megastar T.I. “Tip” Harris, his wife, entrepreneur and singer, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and their brood of six children. With the recent success of T.I.’s new album “Troubleman: Heavy is the Head” and the premiere of Hollywood’s biggest comedy “Identity Thief,” T.I. finds himself spending more and more time in the spotlight. With Tip’s career in full swing, Tiny is busy at home taking care of business with the OMG Girlz! and working to develop a new girl group,French Kiss, with hopes of taking them to the top of the charts. Even though T.I. and Tiny are busy with their own hustle, they always have time for their six kids and each other. With T.I. behind the wheel in the entertainment fast lane this season is sure to take viewers on a ride they won’t soon forget.

Congrats to the Harris family!

New Music: Iggy Azalea’s “Whatchu Lookin At”

Iggy Azalea is gearing up for her upcoming album, The New Classic and Australia’s blonde bombshell continues to excite with her new single “Whatchu Lookin At”. Although T.I. will no longer exectuive produce her first album, she’s still affiliated with Grand Hustle and will release her album under the label.  Collaborations on the project will include Diplo, Steve Aoki, Flosstradamus, and more than likely feature bars from T.I. and B.o.B.

It may take some rap fans a second to fully understand what Iggy represents musically. But for those who can broaden their horizons a little bit, and appreciate a new sound, Iggy Azalea has “it”. Lyrically, she’s talented. Her image is dope AF. If you don’t know who she is, google her.  Until then, check out her new track below and let us know what you think.

T.I. Says He Wants $75 Million in New Deal

The King of the South, T.I., is always making power moves and this time he is really trying to as he says in his song…“Go Get It”.

It’s being reported that T.I.’s ten-year deal with Atlantic Records came to an end last month and he’s shopping a new one. But this time around Tip says he wants $75 million stacks in his new deal. According to reports, the terms of the deal would include 3 albums, a percentage of publishing, film and TV rights, corporate endorsement deals and the exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists.

It hasn’t been said whether or not Atlantic will make an offer to keep T.I. on their label but it seems as Mr. Harris may already be in talks with Dr. Dre and Interscope, Universal and even Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Sony.

This can get quite interesting, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as T.I. proceeds in his journey for a new deal.

New Music: Trinidad James – All Gold Everything (Remix) feat. T.I., Young Jeezy, & 2 Chainz

One of the hottest songs of 2012 “All Gold Everything”, just turnt up a few notches.  The overnight sensation Trinidad James keeps it true to his Atlanta roots by enlisting the talents of T.I., Young Jeezy, and 2 Chainz on the track. Although the original beat is maintained, the remix is still a definite banger.

Check out the remix below:

Who do you think ripped it on the remix??

New Vid: Big Boi – In The A feat. T.I. & Ludacris

“Check the resume…it’s risky business in the A”…shouldn’t be too hard to believe when rap legend Big Boi says so. In his newest video, “In The A”, Outkast’s other half aggressively expresses what it means to be a native of Atlanta. With the help of rappers T.I. and Ludacris, the hard hitting track offers up some pretty mean bars as each rapper tells us what their livelihoods has endured while growing up in the Black Mecca of the South. Showdown, DJ Aaries, and BlackOwned C-Bone is credited with producing the track.

Check out the video below:

Big Boi’s latest album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is in stores now!

T.I. to ‘Give Like A King’ for Veteran Homelessness

The King of the South seems to be on a consistent grind when it comes to moving past his legal troubles and showing his family and fans that he’s a changed man and this time truly on the road to redemption.

While the talk of T.I. as of late has primarily revolved around his reality show, ‘Family Hustle’, and the release of his highly anticipated album Troubleman, it seems as if the Grammy-Award winning rapper had another biggie brewing in the background.

T.I. recently held a press conference in which he announced the launch of his global humanitarian campaign, Give Like A King. Through the campaign, T.I will support various causes in an effort to “raise awareness and crucial funds to address leading issues around the world.”

The first initiative of the Give Like A King campaign will tackle the issues surrounding veteran homelessness in which T.I will support the Veterans Empowerment Organization of Georgia (VEO). Through their partnership he hopes to help the organization increase the availability of affordable housing and other assistance such as healthcare and jobs. In addition to the campaign’s various initiatives that will be implemented, T.I. will also conduct other projects under the campaign such as Keys from the King in which he’ll hand over keys to a car, home, etc. to a deserving recipient.

The King himself said “We have to have someone else’s back…not just our own,” and it looks like that’s exactly what he’s doing. Well done Tip!

T.I. Releases Official ‘Trouble Man’ Album Cover Art + Tracklisting + Andre 3000 Speaks on T.I. Collab

After looking at this album cover, I got a strange feeling this maybe another T.I. classic! Set to be released on December 18, ‘Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head’ is T.I.’s eigth studio album and a highly anticipated one. Despite having one or two not so “buzz-friendly” singles this past year (and a mixtape “F–k The City Up” that didn’t sit well with his fans), the King of the South has kept the ball rolling with numerous collaborations and a hit reality television show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

Well, the wait is almost over. Trouble Man is ready for the public. With features from Akon, Meek Mill, Pink, Lil Wayne, ASAP Rocky, Cee-lo Green, R. Kelly and Andre 3000, this album is presumably one of Tip’s best projects yet.  Do you think T.I. will reign supreme with this album?  I think so!

The BAWSE Rick Ross dropped his next visual jewel from his God Forgives, But I Don’t album.  On location in Anguilla, Ross was accompanied by his label mate Wale and one of YMCMB’s premier artist Drake. Super excited about her new venture, Tiny said, “I’ve been wanting to do a late night talk show with my homegirls…my friends, for a while now. So I have my new show, it’s called ‘Tiny Tonight’ and it’s going to be a late night talk show, the first late night talk show on VH1. T.I.’s Tackling ‘Identity Theft’

Ever since he set foot back in the free world, rapper T.I. has been full speed ahead and seems to be in non-stop mode. As of late, T.I. has been making his rounds on the scene by way of his reality show, Family Hustle, and with the release of new music. Next up for the King of the South, is an acting role in the upcoming comedy film, Identity Theft. The film starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy casts T.I. as a bounty hunter who is on the prowl for Bateman’s and McCarthy’s characters. Identity Theft is scheduled for a 2013 release.

At this point I think it’s safe to say that ole Tip is starting to step his game and resume up when it comes to the acting thing. He’s previously had roles in the movies ATL, American Gangster, and Takers and is currently co-starring in Kelsey Grammer’s series Boss as well as gearing up for season two of his reality show.

As he said himself…”You can hate all you want to patna…Imma give you something to hate on”

T.I. Releases Street Novel + Grand Hustle Restructuring?

Clifford “T.I.” Harris is back on the scene and is clearly showing us all that he wasn’t just sitting still for a year twindling his thumbs. After his September release from an Arkansas prison, the KANG has been working non-stop to reestablish his spot in music and rekindle those precious moments with his family.  Beyond the music, though, T.I. is currently shooting scenes for his 10-episode reality show series. The show is schedule to air on VH1 on December 5.  Along with the show, he’s etched his name in the literary world as an author with his new book entitled Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets. The book is co-written by T.I. and David Ritz (a novelist who’s co-written life stories of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and Grandmaster Flash).  According to HarperCollinsPublishers, the synopsis is …

After the death of his mother, Charlotte, Paul “Power” Clay allows himself to be guided by Slim, a local businessman. Slim always has the best of everything, and Power is sure that if he learns Slim’s ways, he’ll make something of himself–and perhaps be worthy of Tanya “Beauty” Long. From Chicago to Miami to New York, through drugs, women, and violence, Power makes the difficult transition from boy to man and, in doing so, begins to question if those who have taught him–including Slim–truly have his best interests at heart.

Beauty has always known that the only person she can rely on is herself. After her mother died when she was eleven years old, she was adopted by close family friend Charlotte Clay. But with Charlotte’s death, Beauty knows she’s no longer safe and protected–especially as Power gets sucked into a new kind of life. As soon as she can, she turns her back on Atlanta–and the growing love she feels for Power–for a chance to make it in the Big Apple. With a successful fashion career on the horizon, Beauty takes New York by storm with her wit, business savvy, and breathtaking good looks. But she’s never forgotten those she left behind. And when it becomes clear that Power needs her, Beauty will risk everything to save the man she loves.

If you are a T.I. fan or just love to read, the book is currently in stores. So go cop one!

In addition to the book, the reality show, and most definitely the music, the company in which he helped build will soon experience some restructuring. T.I. told Billboard in a recent interview…

“[We're going to] reshape and remold this company from the bottom up, from an executive standpoint and an artist standpoint,” he said of the label he co-founded with Jason Geter and that has been operating under the Warner umbrella, with distribution through Atlantic, since 2003. “It’s a unanimous decision,” he said. “The way we’ve done it, we’ve been considerably successful, but in order to do better, we’re going to have to do things differently.”

And there you have it! Grand Hustle has been in existence since 2003.  It is definitely time to assign new positions and develop new strategies.  It’s good to see T.I. and his team trying to put themselves in a place to be able to “stomp with the big dogs”.

In the mean time, check out T.I.’s new track “I’m Flexin” produced by Mississippi rapper, Big K.R.I.T.

DOES T.I. STILL GOT WHAT IT TAKES??
