Filmed in Atlanta, Trinidad James’s “All Gold Everything” gets a facelift with the A’s allstar players. T.I. , Young Jeezy, and 2 Chainz didn’t dissappoint at all on the remix. 2 Chainz even debuted his alter-ego voice which has a European flare to it. Funny indeed. So So Def Rocks Out w/JD, Jay-Z, Monica, Jeezy, Mariah Carey & More @ Fox Theatre [Photos + Video]

The Fox Theatre was turnt up Saturday night as Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def family celebrated their 20th Anniversary.  As expected, a sold out crowd and the majority of the So So Def roster came out to support music legend JD.  Da Brat, Jagged Edge, J-Kwon, Xscape members LaTocha & Tameka Scott, Kris Kross, Bow Wow, Lil Jon, Bone Crusher, Anthony Hamilton, Dondria, are just a few names that were in attendance to perform some of their most recognized hits.

But, JD pulled out all the stops with a few surprises up his sleeve. His longtime friend and musical partner, Mariah Carey, came out to celebrate. Usher Raymond, Ludacris, Lil Scrappy, Nelly, Pastor Troy, Young Jeezy and to everyone’s surprise Jay-Z stepped out on stage to pure pandamonium. Check out a few pics from the event…

BTS: Young Jeezy’s “R.I.P” Video Shoot [Photos]

On a first listen to Young Jeezy’s Its Tha World (Es El Mundo) mixtape, the “R.I.P” track can be determined as a definite repeater. Produced by DJ Mustard, the west coast signature sound has made this song an instant favorite for DJs and rap fans.  So much so, it currently stands at #17 on the Urban Radio charts.

Directed by Taj, the track features 2 Chainz. But, Jeezy must’ve known that visuals with only the two wouldn’t be enough for this instant hit.  That is why damn near everybody came out to the video shoot.  Shot in L.A. during Grammy week, some of their rap peers in attendance were. T.I., Big Sean, Nelly, Snoop Lion, Warren G, Y G, and even Draya (from Basketball Wives of L.A.).

One of the hottest songs of 2012 “All Gold Everything”, just turnt up a few notches.  The overnight sensation Trinidad James keeps it true to his Atlanta roots by enlisting the talents of T.I., Young Jeezy, and 2 Chainz on the track. Although the original beat is maintained, the remix is still a definite banger.

Last month he said it was coming and Young Jeezy has kept his word. Just as he said he would he released his mixtape, It’s Tha World as promised yesterday.

While he’s already given us a few songs from the mixtape, just by looking at the tracklist, it seems as if Jeezy had quite a few tricks up his sleeve when it came to packing it with power. With producer credits from Warren G, Jalil Beats and the Renegades plus features from 2 Chainz, E-40 and Trey Songz, It’s Tha World is sure to be a speaker banging, head bobbing hit.

Young Jeezy’s CTE World Moves To Atlantic Records; Speaks On Freddie Gibbs Departure

Tomorrow at 12 noon, Young Jeezy will drop his new mixtape “El Hefe: It’s Tha World “Es El Mundo”.  But in the midst of the hype surrounding the mixtape, Jeezy has been making announcements and fielding questions regarding CTE World’s move to Atlantic Records and the departure of rapper Freddie Gibbs.

Today, Jeezy released a statement regarding both items.

“Freddie is a talented artist and I decided that it’s time to press reset on my career and business ventures. I have no doubt that Freddie will go on to be everything I believe he can be, and I wish him the best in his career.”

As for the label, CTE World, Young Jeezy stated…

“This is a fresh start for the CTE brand as we re-launch it. This is why I chose to wipe the slate clean and create an outlet to support and nurture new artists to the best of my ability.”

Young Jeezy was appointed the Sr VP of A&R at Atlantic Records earlier this year.  It will be interesting to see to what level he will take the label and the artists.  Only time will tell…

New Music: Young Jeezy’s “Stylin” + Raekwon’s “86″

It looks as if Young Jeezy is slowly but surely making more of a presence on the music scene. With his It’s the World mixtape on the way, he’s releasing new music and giving his fans a taste of what’s in store. After releasing his song “Get Right” last month, Jeezy is back with a new track called “Stylin”.  His DJ Drama hosted mixtape is set to drop on Decmeber 12^th. Listen to “Stylin” below…

While Jeezy’s is repping for the newer school of hip-hop, it can’t be denied that some of the old school g’s are still putting it down. Putting a bid this time for the old school vets is Wu-Tang member Raekwon.

In an effort to give his fans a feel for what’s to come on his upcoming free EP Lost Jewelry, Raekwon has released a new song from the EP entitled “86.” Lost Jewelry is scheduled for an early 2013 release.

In case you’re wondering why Raekwon is releasing a free EP, straight from the horses mouth via Twitter he said, “Free Ep to give back to y’all and I just need ya to hold me down when it’s album time!!”

Mr. “Bandz A Make Her Dance” Juicy J isn’t slowing up no time soon. He released a new track featuring CTE’s Yound Jeezy and G.O.O.D. Music signee Big Sean.  The song “Show Out” is still in the same vein as most of Juicy J’s music. It works…so why change it!

Young Jeezy Gives Back to Hood on Thanksgiving + New “Get Right” Video

Young Jizzle continued his philanthropic gestures this Thanksgiving.  Always thinking of those less fortunate, the platinum rapper surprised citizens of Atlanta’s Decatur and 4th Ward neighborhoods with free turkeys. Check out the video coverage below:

In other Jeezy news, the visuals behind the first single off of his upcoming album hit the net today.  “Get Right” video features Jeezy and his squad parlaying in Macon, Georiga streets.  It’s definitely a hard track that compliments his grimy flow.  Hopefully, this is a sign of great music to come on the next album.

New Vid: Young Jeezy – We Done It Again

Just in time, Young Jeezy released a track the day President Obama was voted to remain in office.  It’s all about timing. This is why I am a huge fan of Jeezy…he thinks strategically.  :)

The Snowman’s ode to President Obama, ‘We Done It Again’,  gives us insight on the plight of our black communities and the effects politics has on them.  Remember, Jeezy gave us a smash hit four years ago with ‘My President Is Black’.  In that same breathe, Jeezy stays true to topic as he rides around the A still keeping it G in his Rolls Royce. “It’s Tha World” according to Young Jeezy and apparently his world went back to his old stomping ground for his latest video shoot. Jeezy called on his homies in Mac-town to get live one time to the grimy street anthem, Get Right.  Draped in his signature blue color, Jeezy and his squad keeps it gutter and true to the flavor we all have grown to expect from the multi-platinum rapper.

Has Trouble Brewed In The CTE Camp? Partner Files $5Million Lawsuit Against Young Jeezy

Jay “Young Jeezy” Jenkins and Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee developed a tight knit friendship after serving time at a youth boot camp program in 1995.  After discovering the love of music both shared, the two went on to form Young Gunz Entertainment, Inc, which later became Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE).  Young Jeezy, even as Co-CEO, honed in on his rap skills and became the headliner for CTE.  Later signing on with Def Jam Records (under the leadership of L.A. Reid and Shakir Stewart), Young Jeezy’s popularity grew via six solo albums…and millions of dollars soon followed.

Fast forward to 2012, word has hit the streets that money troubles are apparent at CTE.  Demetrius Ellerbee filed a lawsuit in Fulton County Superior Court claiming that Jeezy failed to share millions of dollars in profits earned through album sales. According to the AJC, Ellerbee’s attorney Mario Breedlove says his client has not seen approximately $5 million in royalites and advances from Def Jam Records.  Ellerbee’s lawsuit claims that Jeezy “misappropriated” company funds and redirected monies into his personal account.

“They were partners,” Breedlove told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday. “They started the company together. They grew the company together. And he’s entitled to one-half.”

In addition to the $5 million, Ellerbee is also seeking punitive damages and legal costs.  Comments from Young Jeezy’s attorney has not been released.

Power Moves: Young Jeezy, Sr. VP of A&R at Atlantic Records

My BFF (in my head) stay WINNING!!! It is confirmed that Young Jeezy is now the Sr. VP of A&R at Atlantic Records.  The cat was originally let out the bag on Wednesday by popular Atlanta DJ Greg Street.  Shortly after, Young himself tweeted the confirmation.

“From the streets to the Boardroom. SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records I am. Let’s Get It! #itstha world,”

 

“Corporate thuggin to the max!”

After the success of his recent gold album, TM103, it’s evident that Young Jeezy is here to maintian his spot in rap music.  Also as co-founder/CEO of CTE World (Corporate Thugz Entertainment), he’s proven that he has the know-how to obtain talented artists (as CTE’s roster include notables like Freddie Gibbs, Slick Pulla, Tone Trump, and Boss Rossini).   But the questionable part is how his own career will be affected by this new career move. Young Jeezy is currently signed to Def Jam Records.

Trey Songz is doing just what he said he would do, bringing his fans another popping single from his upcoming album Chapter V. R. Kelly fans get ready because after making us wait for 2 years the Kellz is back with a new album on the way. Gearing up for the release of what will be his 11^th studio album, the king of R&B has already released his first two singles, “Share My Love” and “Feelin Single”.  His highly-anticipated album Write Me Back which is the follow-up to his 2010’s Love Letter is scheduled to hit stores June 26. New Vid: Young Jeezy – Leave You Alone feat. Ne-Yo

A favorite amongst the ladies… Young Jeezy drops the video for “Leave You Alone” featuring Ne-Yo.  It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a video with an actual storyline.  So, it’s refreshing (and quite gangsta) that he chose to go this route.  Maybe this is a sign that Jeezy’s thinking of becoming an actor.  Hmmm that would be interesting.  Time will tell.

Trailer: Young Jeezy’s “Leave You Alone” feat. Ne-Yo

My “imaginary” boo Young Jeezy shares a trailer snippet for his next single Leave You Alone, off of his certified Gold album TM103.  The trailer shows his acting skills as he seems to be in a complex relationship with the daughter of a California drug lord. [I'm just guessing...I really have no idea].  But, it looks like this video is going to be a good one.

Atlanta’s own, Young Jeezy, is gearing up for the holidays in a HUGE philanthropic manner.

Jeezy reportedly handed out Christmas gifts to children this past weekend. He joined forces with The National Lighthouse Foundation to present the gifts during the annual Christmas program at Narvie J. Harris Theme School. The is part of the rapper’s ongoing community outreach tour, which included a “Back 2 School” giveaway for children who needed clothes and school supplies, organization of a voter registration drive, and participation in food drives throughout the U.S.

Good look Jeezy! During these hard times, this is truly a blessing to everyone who’s dealing with hardships due to the economic fallout.
