Evangelist, Juanita Bynum, is of course in the news again. Bynum will be back in court soon for not holding up her end of the divorce settlement agreement.

Randy Kessler, attorney representing Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III, claims that Bynum was in contempt of a divorce consent order in which she promised to pay her husband’s $40,000 attorney fees, relinquish the title of an SUV and pick up furniture of hers.

So far, none of the attorney fees have been paid. Bynum was scheduled to pay $10,000 on July 8, 2008. This was going to be the first of four installments toward the $40,000 fee. Also, she has not yet transferred the title to the 2004 Land Rover over to Weeks or picked up her belongings from their former residence.

“We are going to ask the court to make her do it even if that mandates putting her in jail,” Kessler said.

On Monday, Kessler’s firm filed the contempt order with the courts.

Bynum did not have legal representation during their divorce. She has not made a public statement about these allegations. (Source)
