One of the most anticipated games of the WBNA season jumped off today at Phillips Arena in Atlanta. The Atlanta Dream took on the Los Angeles Sparks in front of a packed crowd, some of which sported orange t-shirts in support of former Tennessee Vols ballers and coach Pat Summit.

Summit, head coach and winner of eight NCAA Championships, was present today to speak to the 11,000 plus fans on basketball and the future of the Lady Vols.

Top scorers for the day included Izzy Castro Marques, who hit 26 points for Atlanta, and in second was Angela McCoughtry, who added 23 points for the Dream team. But in the end, it just wasn’t enough for veteran Lisa Leslie and her LA Sparks team.

Final score Sparks-91, Dream-87.
