Jennifer Hudson is showing the world that despite the tribulations she recently had to face during the trial of the accused murderer of her family member, she’s still getting her stacks on. With already set roles in two film that are scheduled to go into production this summer, the singer/actress will join the second season of the NBC musical drama “Smash”.

 

The multiple-episode deal will cast Hudson as Veronica Moore, a Broadway star who has paid a price for her fame. Her role will affect the lives of the show’s already existing characters Karen and Ivy.
