Majic Johnson has to be the longest living HIV carrier in the world. Since coming clean about his illness twenty-one years ago, he’s been the perfect and healthiest role model to speak on the subject.  Well, Majic is carrying his fight a little further.  During a recent press conference in New York, he discussed his bouts with the disease with HIV/AIDS prevention workers and announced that he is now endorsing a new product.

OraQuick is a FDA approved at-home HIV test.  People who use the test will no longer have to wait weeks until test results come back. Now, OraQuick will offer accurate test results in less than 20 minutes in the privacy of your home. For only $39, the test is able to detect antibodies of HIV-1 & 2.  Although, the FDA does warn that if administered incorrectly, there are 1 in every 13 results a person will have a false-negative read.  So, it is still suggested that people go to a medical facility if they’re second guessing the OraQuick results.
