Well, well, well, it looks like the chopping block is at it again. First the Lakers fire head coach Mike Brown and now the Atlanta Falcons have chunked defensive end Ray Edwards the deuces. That’s right, they let Ray go!

While the organization originally had high hopes for Edwards when they signed him following his outstanding performances during his previous five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, their dreams never came true. With a measly 3.5 sacks last season and only nine tackles (no sacks) out of the team’s nine games this season, it’s clear while the Dirty Birds are cutting their losses.

The 27-year-old was signed to a five-year, $27.5 million contract with the Falcons last year but it doesn’t look like he’ll see that through. However, he is guaranteed $2 million stacks of the $3 million base salary he was scheduled to earn this season.

What now Ray? What now?????
