His collaboration with Jay-Z is proof of it. “Devil Is A Lie” sonically, continues Ross’s path of sampling soulful classics. This sound gives his music a nostalgic feel, which rap fans don’t mind. It helps separate MMG from other labels at this point. Production choices are top priority over at MMG. You can tell by listening to Meek Mill, Wale, and Stalley projects.
