Richard Pryor Biopic Stirs Up Tension Between Wife & Son

According to TMZ, Jennifer Lee Pryor is trying to cash in.

 

A recent interview with Richard Pryor Jr exposed some tension between himself and the comedy legend’s surviving wife.  The tension is surrounding an upcoming biopic about Pryor, which is being directed by Lee Daniels.  Richard Jr claims that the ownership rights to his father’s story is questionable.

 

He alleges that Jennifer Lee Pryor illegally obtained his father’s rights in 2005, months before the comic died from multiple sclerosis.  Richard Jr is threatening to take legal action in attempt to have the production of the film stopped.
In addition to the biopic, Jennifer Lee Pryor also plans to release Pryor’s personal diaries.
