Falcons Beat Saints 30-14 at Superdome

The Atlanta Falcons went on the road to the Superdome to defeat the New Orleans Saints, 30-14.

The Falcons and Saints both have a 6-9 record and the Falcons eliminated the Saints from playoff contention. Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan passed for 322 yards and 1 touchdown. Wide Receiver Julio Jones had 7 catches for 107 yards for the Falcons both were game-highs. Rookie Running Back Devonta Freeman led the Falcons with 36 yards rushing and scored his first rushing touchdown of his career.

Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 313 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interception for the Saints. Saints Running Back Mark Ingram rushed for a game-high 38 yards and a rushing touchdown. Saints Wide Receiver Marques Colston had 6 catches for 80 yards and Tight End Jimmy Graham had 6 catches for 53 yards and a touchdown.

The Falcons will host the Carolina Panthers next Sunday at the Georgia Dome. The winner of that game will win the NFC South division, advance to the NFL Playoffs and would have only won 7 games for the season.
