Cavs Sweep Celtics 4-0, Advances to the Conference Semifinals

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 101-93 and swept the Celtics 4-0. LeBron James led the Cavs with a game-high 27 points, 10 rebounds and a team-high 8 assists. James helped Cleveland win their first playoff series since 2010 and James was a member of that team before he signed with the Miami Heat in the offseason. Kyrie Irving chipped in with 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Cavs. Iman Shumpert played a big role in this game and led the Cavs bench with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Timofey Mozgov had 12 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks for the Cavs.

Isaiah Thomas and Jared Sullinger came off the bench to lead Boston with 21 points each. Sullinger had a team-high 11 rebounds and Thomas had a game-high 9 assists. Avery Bradley had 16 points and 5 rebounds for the Cavs. Boston fought back after struggling in the first half, the Celtics outscored the Cavs 57-44 in the second half. The Celtics didn’t capitalize on their free throws, only making 24 out 37 free throws (64.9%). The Cavs will face the winner of the Chicago Bulls/Milwaukee Bucks series. James has an impressive 10-0 record in the first round of NBA playoffs.
