News broke yesterday about a luxury car scam involving Swizz Beatz.

Swizz Beatz is being sued for $42 million for reselling leased cars. The lawsuit claims a Long Island car dealership owner Macky Dancy leased cars to Beatz. The luxury cars were leased under the impression that Beatz and his wife Alicia Keys would use them.  However, a third party Metro-Gem Lending & Funding Corp., filed the lawsuit claiming that Dancy and Beatz conjured up a plan to sell the vehicles at huge mark up. The suit is inciting that the cars were leased at rates up to $7,000.

The lawsuit claims that Swizz and Macky illegally resold the Ferrari – which retails at roughly $330,000 – for an unknown price which is thought to be at a mark up to the retail value.

However, a representative for Swizz claimed that he was being wrongly accused, and said that both he and Macky are “innocent”.

The spokesperson said: “[Swizz Beatz and Macky Dancy] are innocent pawns in a years-long, multi-million-dollar dispute.” (via MSN)

Now, Swizz Beatz himself took to social media to say that this is all frivolous.

“Y’all got to stop man.  [laughs] Y’all going too far with it now. Y’all giving me way too much credit. Now, I’m like the car kingpin. Y’all giving me…I’m $42 million. What is…what am I buying? Like, what would that be?  Spaceships? Come on man. Like, people just do anything. We got to stop believing everything. Okay, I don’t know these people. People…I don’t know these people man. Y’all should know better than that. We don’t play those type of games. I been fresh since 17 with the whips. You can see my pedigree. And it’s cool ‘cause only the haters really believe that stuff though. The people know what time it is. I wasn’t even going to speak on it. But then, everybody want to pick this news up. But when its positive things going down, I don’t see no type of press. I don’t see none of this type of things. This is only entertaining the people that don’t have good intentions in they life. Ya understand.”

Hopefully, Swizz Beatz completely clear his name of this.
