According the Liberty Voice, a Nigerian court has convicted 4 male citizens for being gay in their country. The men arrested were just a few among several that had been arrested for belonging to a gay club and accepting $150,000 in membership donations from the United States. The Islamic court in the northern city of Bauchi arrested and also beat the men while in custody. Then men convicted (ranging from ages 22 to 28) were mandated to lay across the floor and receive 15 lashes by a horse whip and also pay a fine of $125 for their crime. Court officials also stated that if the men could not pay the fine they would be sentenced to imprisonment and also risk being beaten and/or killed by officers or inmates. The ruling was supposed to have been kept under wraps, however received attention after an angry mob called out for the defendants to be sentenced to death. The act of homosexuality is illegal in West Africa under both Islamic and secular law. In January 2014, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan signed a bill into law that mandated a 14 year prison sentence for homosexual behavior. How unfortunate for a third world country with starving children and a higher HIV/AIDS rate of heterosexuals than homosexuals be so hateful. Although this is not a race issue, it’s a human issue and it’s extremely disappointing that the world could be so hateful to another human being regardless of their personal choice. RHOA Porsha Williams #Chopped & #Screwed Reality Star Porsha Williams gets nothing from divorce…. In the words of the late great Whitney Houston, RHOA reality star Porsha Williams gets #nothing, #nothing, #nothingggggg. Well, the words are not quite like that but I’m sure you get the picture. Legal documents in the divorce settlement between Porsha Williams and ex-husband Kordell Stewart show the Porsha will only get to walk away with her former last name and the car she came in. Porsha does get to keep her jewlrey and really expensive clothes however it doesn’t come close to what her former husband was able to keep. The court stated that Kordell will be able to keep 2 houses, land, cars, 100% of his companies and full retirement benefits. Speculations and reports also state that Porsha may be casted off the next season of the RHOA. I don’t think this is the last we have heard of Porsha because even though she may not be current on Black History, I’m sure she has a few tricks up her sleeve to bounce back. She also has a single set to release on iTunes on March on March 17th and for some reason I’m sure there will be a book to follow very soon. George Zimmerman signs Autographs for Fans George Zimmerman makes a living by exploiting killing…. Florida native George Zimmerman who was acquitted on the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin was spotted at a local gun show. Zimmerman was reported to be signing autographs at a meet and greet in an Orlando gun shop. Although there wasn’t a big turnout, about 20 people lined up to get a signed copy of Zimmerman during a time when he was “slimmer” with his dog. I guess, after the huge fight-club style match that Zimmerman was supposed to fight high profile opponents had been canceled, he had to find other ways of making money. The family declined to have anything to do with the fight even though the promoter of the fight Alki David agreed to donate all of the profits to the foundation created by the Martin family. This week the “Really Award” goes to the West African government for treating a human being like an animal and giving lashings for how they choose to live in their personal life. Regardless of how others view their lifestyle, it doesn’t warrant murder, beatings and/or treatment like random animals. WTF…even animals have rights!
