Angel McCoughtry scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Atlanta Dream to a 83-73 victory over the Washington Mystics. The Dream improve to a Eastern Conference best 8-3 and have won five games in a row. Angel also had 6 rebounds, team-high 4 assists and team-high 3 steals. Tiffany Hayes had 11 points, 5 rebounds and made the only 3-pointer for the Dream. The Dream shot poorly from downtown, making only 1 out of 7 shots from long-range. Erika de Souza had 10 points, 8 rebounds and a block party swatting away a game-high 5 blocks.

Rookie Bria Hartley led the Mystics with a team-high 16 points and game-high 4 steals. Emma Meesseman scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Mystics. Rookie Stefanie Dolson came off the bench with an all-around game scoring 8 points with a team-high 8 rebounds and dishing out game-high 6 assists. The Mystics were outscored 48 to 28 in the paint and the Mystics failed to record a block. Washington is now 5-7 and have lost two games in a row, both to the Dream.
