Women convicted of torture….

Zakia Medkour, age 43 of France, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for torturing her boyfriend Maxime Gaget, age 37. The couple meet online in 2007 and seven months after dating decided to move into a Parisian studio with Medkour’s two children. Police reports state that Medkour held Gaget as her “domestic slave” forcing him to ingest sponges and window cleaner. Medkour was ordered to pay $217, 000 and spend 18 months in jail.

“In the beginning there were feelings and then fear and then shame,” Gaget told the court. “It is hard for a man to admit he is being beaten by a woman. I also stayed to protect the children.”

Gaget released a book titled “My Girlfriend. My Torture”, a reported 7000 men have filed complaints about domestic abuse in France.
