Madden NFL 16 recently named their top WR player ratings and this list is up for debate every year. EA Sports will release their best-selling game on August 25, 2015 on Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. New York Giants Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is the cover athlete on this year’s cover and the youngest player to ever be featured on the cover of Madden. Beckham is entering his second season and won the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown led all receivers with a 97 overall rating. Brown led the league with 129 catches and a league-high 1,698 yards. Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys was ranked second with a 96 overall, Bryant led the league with 16 touchdowns. Madden NFL 13 cover athlete Calvin Johnson is ranked third on the list with a 95 rating. The Detroit Lions playmaker known to most as Megatron had 71 catches, 1,077 yards and 8 touchdowns last season.

Beckham Jr. has a 94 overall after his spectacular rookie season and it’s only fair to make him the cover athlete. He’s one of the best at his position in the game. Beckham Jr. finished 10th in the league in catches and yards, tied for fourth in touchdowns and led the NFL with 108.8 receiving yards a game last season. Rounding out the top five is Atlanta Falcons speedster Julio Jones with a 94 overall rating. Jones finished fourth in the league in catches, third in yards and second with 106.2 receiving yards a game last season.

Denver Broncos Demaryius Thomas might feel snubbed by not having a top five rating on Madden. Thomas finished second in the league in catches and yards and 10th in touchdowns last season. Thomas finished ninth in catches and fourth in yards in the 2013 season, so his numbers has been consistent the last three seasons. Around a year from now this list could be missing one or two players and will be up for debate again. It’s only a video game and it’s an honor for some players to be ranked one of the best at their position.
