When advertisers spend big money, they look for more bang for the buck. One area of focus that tend to generate great returns is the world of television. However, not all networks and television programs are worth the investment. Brands look for high stakes programming, television shows that attract millions of viewers. “Empire,” for instance, is prime real estate for advertisers. In a years time, advertisers can spend an estimated $70 billion (via Wallstreet Journal). Luckily, FOX can look forward to receiving millions of dollars for season 2 of the hit musical/drama series.

With the success of season one of “Empire,” advertisers are excited to see if season 2 will be just the same. The goal for Lee Daniels and the network is to keep the plot juicy and entertaining. This formula will easily keep the ratings high and also secure its spot in future programming schedules.

“Empire” was not the only programming that make the “top picks” list. Other shows that can expect major advertising dollars are FX’s “Fargo,” “Supergirl” (CBS), “Quantico” (ABC), “The Daily Show” (Comedy Central), “Limitless” (CBS), “Scream Queens” (FOX), “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (CW), “The Simpsons” (FOX), “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS), “Modern Family” (ABC), “Scorpion” (CBS).

In the reality/competition show realm, programs like “The Voice” (NBC), “Survivor” (NBC), and “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC) will receive backing by advertisers as well.
