Some stories you come across can truly pull your heart strings…

A western Ohio woman, Reba Williams, will finally be awarded her highschool diploma after all these years. After hearing about her story, a retired teacher at Mt Vernon High School (where Reba attended) decided to contact the school board. Reba hadn’t received her diploma because she refused to read a final book her teacher assigned. She said she read the book once and didn’t want to read it again.

Well, the Mt Vernon Board of Education has granted everyones wishes. Reba Williams will be receiving her diploma sometime this month.

Ms. Williams spent her years working as a cook at the Malabar Farm State Park. She currently lives with her daughter in Columbus, Ohio.
