Despite the chaos that was going on outside of MetLife Stadium, the night was full of many surprises during Hot 97’s Summer Jam. The 22nd annual concert event brought out 50,000 hip-hop fans, many of which wasn’t ready for the line-up of artists that would take the stage. While artists like Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Future, and Trey Songz did their thing, it was Brooklyn’s own Fabolous who made the night special.

During Fab’s set, a plethora of hip-hop classics was revived as Busta Rhymes and Spliff Starr performed “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and “Ante Up”. Black Rob also took the crowd way back with his 2000 hit “Whoa”. Remy Ma and Fat Joe performed “Lean Back,” while one of favorite rap collabs Redman and Method Man came out rocking their classics. Others that took the stage was Mobb Deep, Raekwon, Lil Kim, and suited up Harlem-native Ma$e. The rapper-turned-pastor-turned-rapper performed hits like “Been Around the World” remix and “Feel So Good”.
