Far from her youthful voice, R&B singer and reality star Michel’le has taken a grown woman approach to revealing parts of her life story. She’s let the world in little by little on “R&B Divas LA” and in various interviews, but never quite detailing it in full. Michel’le, as we know, is an intricate player in the Death Row Records saga. Some has even pointed her out as being the reason behind the labels fallout and beef between Suge Knight and Dr. Dre. Having birthed kids by both men, the Compton-native is no stranger to controversy. She’s lived through the turmoil and is now ready to share her story.

In an exclusive partnership with Thinkfactory Media, Michel’le’s life story will become a scripted television movie. “Girl From the Hood” is the tentative title, thus far, and Thinkfactory Media EVP, Adam Reed says it’s time to give the singer’s story some justice.

“Michel’le is one of the most talented, fearless women I have ever met, captivating audiences both on stage and in front of the camera.  The past few years of working with her have been incredible and we are thrilled she’s allowing us to lower the veil to tell her inspiring inside story as no one else could,” stated Adam Reed, EVP Thinkfactory Media. “Michel’le’s conviction for life and raw honesty deserves to be shared with the world, and we are honored to give her story justice.”

Michel’le’s experiences with fame, abuse, and how she overcame both should make for a good movie. Most recently, she spoke out about her abuse at the hands of Dr. Dre after some criticized the film “Straight Outta Compton” for not showing the ugly side of the music producer. Michel’le clearly has dealt with a lot while growing up. On “R&B Divas LA” she spoke out about suffering from anxiety and having to take medication and visit therapists. The television project, and accompanying documentary, hopefully will show how these things all transpired.

It’s good to know that she’s ready to let it all out.

“I am so excited about my partnership with Thinkfactory Media.  For many years I was unwilling to share my personal experiences.  I am now ready to open up about my career, relationships and family,” stated Michel’le Toussant. “I am confident that Thinkfactory Media will give an accurate depiction of my life and this tumultuous yet amazing journey I’ve been on.”
