It’s about time that the ladies of hip-hop are being recognized by their peers. This year, VH1’s Hip Hop Honors will return and this time, the network will honor the women who’ve paved the way. For 2016, the show will focus on the female “trailblazers and trendsetters” that’s been able to persevere in an industry dominated by males. VH1 haven’t announced the official list of honorees as of yet, however, the show is confirmed to air live on July 11 in New York City. VH1 Hip Hop Honors started in 2004.
