Cardi B recently took to her Instagram page to ask a great question, “Where is all of her tax money is going?”

The Bronx artist rise to fame has been nothing but financially motivating. Cardi B’s first smash hit “Bodak Yellow” is now 5x platinum and her musical hits and business ventures have all proven to be “making money moves” on her  behalf.

Her days of having to strip for a dollar are over. But, when you start making real money, ole Uncle Sam knocks on your door reminding us all that a hefty portion of your earnings belongs to the government.

“When you donate to a kid from a foreign country, they give you updates of what you’re doing with that donation,” she notes, comparing that off-the-top tax money to charities like Amnesty International’s child sponsorship program. “I want to know what you’re doing with my f*cking tax money.”

Although U.S. citizens have to give back 40 percent to the IRS, Cardi explains that nothing has changed in the down-rotten streets of New York. “The streets is always dirty. We was voted the dirtiest city in America,” and that “there’s still rats on the damn train.” She also declares, “I know y’all not spending it on no damn prison, because y’all be giving n—as like two underwears and one jumpsuit for five months.”

Simply put, she says “I want receipts!”

And she is correct. The IRS should be required to show Americans an breakdown of the budget versus spending. But, with the level of secrecy that the government holds itself to, we doubt that will ever happen.

As a reminder, the tax deadline this year is Tuesday, April 17.
